MAR 31: Planet of the Apes:   FOX is finally planning to release the DVD boxed set of 'Planet Of The Apes' movie boxed set. Bout time considering how long the VHS boxed sets have been out.

LW1 will have 7 minutes of new footage restored. LW2 will have 4 minutes, and LW3 will dump on 3 minutes of footage into the movie. This is a great set of movies starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover.

MAR 31: SW:EP1 VHS:   As most of you know the SW: Episode One on VHS is out as of March 24 @ $16.99. The Collectors Edition widescreen due April 4 is already out there at $34.99. The widescreen quality is not good and it isn't worth the double billing price. After what George Lucas has done it is amazing that anyone would purchase this VHS.

MAR 31: Rollerball update: LL Cool J has signed to star with in the 1975 remake with Chris Klein as his teammate. "Jonathan E! Jonathan E! Jonathan E!" The remake of this should be outstanding.

MAR 31: Spider Law: Looks like Sony Pictures has inked their Spiderman. However, they aren't talking about who. And the rumor ciculating through right now is that Jude Law is the person signed on to be our Peter Parker.

MAR 31: Sulu Novel: The editor of Pocket Book Star Trek series, John Ordover, has agreed to do a Captain Sulu & Excelsior novel if he gets 1000 people to mail him a letter requesting a Capt. The titles costing $1.99 to $2.25 and the $2.25 to $2.50. Hard to believe in the 70's comics were only 25 cents, much less ever 10 cents. These guys are making a fortune off the comic characters going to the big screen. You would think they would give something back to the customers. Haaahaaahahahahahaahhahahah... yeah right.

MAR 30: DVD News: Star Trek the Next Generation is being released on DVD soon. The only hold up is whether to put 2 or 4 eps per DVD. Unfortunately fans have been buying the Original Series DVD's with two eps per disc. So, no boxed sets from Paramount. Figures.

MAR 30: X-Files Boxed 2:  Fox is already planning the second season boxed set of the X-Files. Plan on it for the August or September time frame folks. FOX may be an ass about websites, but they are learning how to release television series. Very cool fox.

MAR 30: Star Trek Borg:   At a recent overseas convention Robert Duncan McNeil  let slip that the new trek series will revolve around the Borg. It is unknown whether McNeil was joking around or not. Braga would neither confirm or deny the rumor. Remember though, Paramount has told Braga that besides recreating the franchise they must also reduce the cost per episode. A borg based series  would be... expensive.

MAR 30: Voyager Episodes:  To facilitate the borg idea there are rumors floating around that more eps next season will involve borg storylines to precipitate the new Star Trek series. Like the episode involving the borg and Paris gets his bars back.  Remember on this note, the highest rated Voyager eps involve the borg. So, during your final season, why not use the borg and get the ratings as high as possible.

Terminator 4 however is nowhere near ready for production.

MAR 28: Kes' Fury:  Jennifer Lien, who played Kes, will return May 2 in the episode titled 'FURY', as an aged Kes intent on destroying Voyager. She plans to turn Voyager over to the Vidiians. During the episode she creates catastrophic damage to the ship and kills B'Elanna Torres.

MAR 26: X-Files:   Duchovny believes there will be an eigth season of the X-Files, but he won't be in it. You sure get tired of hearing all this. This guy is eager to walk away from a great series for a movie career he doesn't have. Come on Fox. Show the guy the door and move on.

MAR 26: Phantom of the Opera: Universal is still considering a 3rd remake of the film & Warner Brothers, not to be left out, already has one in development based on the musical hit. The inside track is leaning towards Antonio Banderas, but Michael Crawford, and John Travolta haver been mentioned as well.

In case anyone didn't know O'Bannon wrote the season 2 premiere but will scale back his day to day involvement. He is just consulting now on the show. Hope the show will maintain its present quality levels. Ratings on the Sci-Fi channel are only in the 1.1 range weekly. This show needs to be taken syndicated. USA Network could make some money on it and the fan base would be incredible as well. To many people are missing this great show. FARSCAPE FAN PAGE

Sounds like video release only flick.

MAR 21: A.I. O.K.: Steven Spielberg has made it official that his next production will be writing and directing Kubrick's A.I. (Artificial Intelligence). So much for the long awaited Indiana Jones 4. MAR 21: Small Spartacus: Pearson Television is developing the idea of bringing Spartacus to the television screen as a weekly series in 2k1. We already know how and when this guy dies. Wouldn't it be better if they just created some unknown gladiator for the same role?

The Francis Ford Coppola series is due to begin production on season 3 beginning March 27. The show is wasted on the scifi channel getting a mere 1.1 rating as is Farscape. There were going to put Cade's consciousness into another body ala Sliders.

MAR 20: Ros-swillFans are beginning to feel the hook. They are now sending mini-tabasco bottles to Warner Brothers in a save the show effort. They have received over 100 bottles so far. Buffy and Angel were renewed a few weeks ago, but Roswell was not. The shows fans are planning an ad in Variety. The WB is attempting to move the shows time slot. Ratings are dismal at this point. The short lived PREY was so much better and it lasted only 13 episodes. This show is not a very good show.

MAR 19: X-Files:  Even though the X-Files could be preparing to wrap up its final season the ratings should be showing Fox that the fans  love the show. Viewer Ratings are over three points higher than the closest genre series in the recent ratings. Might cost FOX some money keeping the Duchovny and Anderson duo together for an 8th season, but could be beneficial for Fox who hasn't had top new series in many seasons.

MAR 19: DVD News:  The Sixth Sense DVD will be released on March 28 and is loaded. It contains over 75 minutes of new footage and three deleted scenes as well as an extended ending. It you enjoyed this mega-hit then you'll really enjoy the new cut of this picture.

Requests for the novella were 15 times what was expected.

MAR 19: Lara Croft: Angelina Jolie has officially signed on to play the part of Lara Croft as the action/adventurer in 'Tomb Raider'. She is excited about the role and the picture, which begins filming in May. Angelina is in training already for the physical demands of the role. Man she fits the look for sure. Facial wise, anyways.

MAR 19: The Patriot:  The new Mel Gibson feature is 3 hours long with a hard 'R' rating. A re-cutting of the film to 2 hrs30min is being considered for a PG13 rating and commercial showings. Special screening of the 3 hr version brought rave reviews. Cutting this picture was deemed by those who saw the picture believe it would ruin another masterpiece by Mel Gibson. Look how the Abyss was ruined when it was cut down. The 171 minute version is incredible. The theatrical version was... less than average. Leave it alone!

MAR 18: Blood HuntNew Line Cinema's sequel to the successful BLADE, has hired Guillermo del Toro (mimic) to direct Blade 2: Blood Hunt. The film is scripted by David Goyer, who did the first one. Wesley Snipes will reprise his role as will Kris Krisofferson who blew his head off in the first picture. Should be interesting to see Goyer resurrect this guy.

MAR 18: F.A.K.K. you: Oh, that's F.A.K.K. 2, the Heavy Metal animated sequel that has been long, long, long in coming to some sort of media. The animated feature film will premiere in the US market on the Encore network July 10. Man, what happened to the theatre release. Doesn't cut the grade I guess. If you don't have Encore find someone to record it for you. The video shouldn't be far behind.

MAR 18: Gotta Be the Suit!:   The new Onstar Batman in the black suit is Bruce Thomas, who played on Beverly Hills 90210. There will  be a total of three commercials with the JOKER appearing in the third installment. The Joker will be portrayed by Revenge of the Nerds, Curtis Armstrong. (he was bugger)(cinescape)

MAR 18: Voltran:   As a fan of L.R. Hubbard's books and member of the spiritual movement the author founded, John Travolta believes Battlefield Earth, if successful, could be the first in a string of Hubbard film adaptions. But he is confident the film will do well. Travolta may be a bit old to star in some of the roles. He could co-star or produce though.

MAR 17: A Depp'd to Horror:  Johnny Depp continues his work in the horror genre with his third straight feature in  the new picture 'From Hell'. The feature is based on the graphic novel by Allan Moore & Eddie Campbell. A Jack the Ripper story. Directing the 20th Century Fox product will be Albert & Allen Hughes.

MAR 17: Pearly Harbor: Actor Josh Hartnet (the Faculty) has signed on to play Ben Affleck's friend who competes with him for the same Navy nurse.

MAR 17: Pearly Gates: Dark Horizon is claiming Michael Douglas has signed on to the Disney Project. This could mean that Gene Hackman is out. He was probably up for the that same role.

MAR 17: The Others:  The new NBC series has swapped its Saturday time slot with the Profiler to 9pm. The ratings on the new series have dropped. By putting it between 'the Pretender' & 'the Profiler' they are hoping audiences will stick around and try the show out. Guess the cast and crew members shouldn't have laughed about not being on FOX. The Others just isn't that good.

MAR 16: Alien Nation: The Sci-Fi Channel will be running their usual three Alien Nation TV Movies on Sunday beginning at 10am PST. The three showing will be; Dark Horizon; Body & Soul; and finally Millenium.  Get the VCRs ready if you an Alien Nation fan and don't have the movies recorded yet.

MAR 16: TimestalkersThe hardly shown 1987 TV Movie 'Timestalkers' will be making its second event showing on the Sci-Fi Channel Saturday 3.18 at Noon & Midnight PST. This movie stars William Devane, Lauren Hutton, Klaus Kinski and John Ratzenberger. Not a bad television movie.

MAR 16: The Abyss SE: Just a reminder folks. The material packed. DVD is due out March 21. This is a James Cameron must have DVD Special Edition. Price will range from $20.98 to

MAR 15: Fox-a-ramaFuturama creator Matt Groening is furious with FOX over moving his shows time slot. Says Groening "The Obviously don't know what they are doing. They (FOX) run in one direction one minute and then another direction the next minute. There isn't sustained support of anything." Sound just like Fox's handling of Space Above and Beyond. Promising five weeks in one slot with no pre-empting and then change there promise one week later.  That is why FOX hasn't had a top rated new show in a long time.

MAR 15: Lucas $$$$:  Director/business man George Lucas was last years biggest money maker in Hollywood with a take home of $400M. Twice that of second place, Harpo owner, Oprah Winfrey. (forbes)

MAR 15: Now & Again:  The new series starring Eric Close has done extremely well in the ratings for a genre based TV series staying near the X-Files in viewership. But the show has yet to be renewed by CBS. Most of the other genre based shows have already been renewed for the new season.

MAR 15: Bullwinkled: The new live action feature of Rocky and Bullwinkle has moved well into post-production. Robert DeNiro will play fearless leader. Also starring as Natasha will be Rene Russo. Boris is played by Jason Alexander. Appearing in the movie will be Randy Quaid. John Goodman, Billy Chrystal and Carl Reiner will appear as themselves.

MAR 14: Final Fantasy: The new animated CGI feature is about 90% complete. The movie is due for a Summer 2K1 release. Sony is considering moving the pictures release up to a Christmas 2K released date.  At a special showing during the  ShoWest convention the theatre owners were wowed with what they saw.   Might not need actors pretty soon. Just pay them for the use of their face and voice over.

MAR 14: Secret Agent Man:  Don't forget, tomorrow, Tuesday 3.14.00 at 9 or 10pm on UPN is the second episode of Secret Agent Man.

MAR 14: Sixth Sense: The feature starring Bruce Willis has moved into 11th place on the all time highest grossing list just a head of 'Home Alone' with earnings of $285.9M

MAR 14: X-Men:  To date Singer's summer movie has about 8 of the 370 special effects complete. The same theatre owners who were wowed with Final Fantasy liked what they saw of the X-Men at the same convention.

MAR 14: Roswell Shifting:  With dismall ratings the WB wants to move the show to Mondays at 9pm and juice up the sci-fi elements in the spring. Regency and Fox  however must approve the move since its contract was specifically for that time slot.

MAR 13: Anakin Rumor: While we all wait to see if Leonardo DiCaprio signs on, another name has been thrown into the mix. Jonathan Brandon, Seaquest series star, has been mentioned. He is more than interested in the role. This is like anything else with Star Wars, just a rumor.

MAR 13: Animated Neo:   While there is no prequel movie in the works, Joel Silver has revealed that an animated prequel to the Matrix could happen. It may be done in the style of Akira.

MAR 13: Pixar Monsters:    With the awesome results of Toy Story 2 Pixar is now working on a new feature "Monsters, Inc." Another all CGI movie. A kid discovers another dimension populated by Monsters.

MAR 13: Affleck a Pearl:  The Hollywood Reporter is claiming Ben Affleck has signed on to Disney's new feature film 'PEARL HARBOR'. As stated earlier he will play the role of a hot shot fighter pilot. The movie is about two brothers who fall in love with the same woman.

MAR 13: Star Power: Steven Spielberg is on the cusp of becoming a Billionaire like fellow director/businessman George Lucas. Spielberg sits at $980M. George Lucas was number 92 on the money list with $2.5B. Spielbergs company Dreamworks is number 83 though at $2.7B. (he has two other partners though) Bill Gates was number one at a mere $84B. Last year there  was 79 billionaires. This year... 268. Dang!

MAR 13: Star Power 2:  While only raking in a lowly $50M last year according to Forbes Magazine, Julia Roberts is #1 on the Star Power charts.  Lucas was second with Oprah Winfrey tailing in at number three. Tom Hanks was number while basketball great Micheal Jordan was down to number 23.

MAR 12: DVD Rip Offs:  It is unbelievable the prices we, the public, are being charged for TV Series DVDs with only two episodes on them. Prices range from $20 to $25. 2 new Twilight Zone episodes are costing $24.98. What a Ripoff. What is even worse is that people are actually willing to pay that price. Guess we deserve it eh?

MAR 12: Doyle's GOP: Jerry Doyle, Babylon 5's Mister Garibaldi,  has  won the California GOP nomination to run for Congress. (Hollywood Reporter)  Maybe him and Fred Grandy, who played Burl Smith aka Gopher on the Love Boat, could become friends.

MAR 12: TBS:  Turner has purchased the rights to air 19 Paramount feature films that include Star Trek: Insurrection and Deep Impact. The films are primary for TBS and TNT. But TMC and Turner South will get a piece of the action as well.

MAR 12: EFC: Lisa Howard who plays Lili Marquette on Earth Final Conflict doubts she will return for any other episodes this season. For that matter she isn't sure when or if her character will return in season 4. At some point she will return in next season.

MAR 12: Robocop PD: The new Robocop Prime Directive website is up and running. You can visit the site at http://robocop-pd.ca  The unofficial trailer may be again now. Remember folks, this is a rough trailer. Let's not judge the 4 movies by a 90 minutes rough trailer like other supposed Robocop fans have been doing. This looks to be a great set of movies in letterbox format...

MAR 12: Playstation 2: Sony's new Playstation has been released in Japan as of March 4. In the Autumn it will hit the US market and Europe for about $300. An excellent price considering the unit is also a DVD, CD, CD-Rom and a DVD-Rom. It is a 32mb, 128 bit system with better graphics than any other system on the market. It also includes 2 USB ports and a type III pcmcia slot. No modem though. May be a drawback for many gamers who love the online gaming experience. Best of all though is that the unit is backwards compatible. STill only two controller ports though. Hurts the 4 player mode eh? Looks to be a great gaming unit.

MAR 12: Terminated Book: No new Terminator feature for a couple of years but a new book is due out that takes off where Terminator 2 left off. Author S. H. Sterling wrote the new novel from Harper Entertainment that should be titled Terminator Infiltrator. The new novel is speculated to hit bookstores in November. Infiltrator should be the first in a trilogy.

MAR 11: Lord of the Ring dates: So much for the one every six months as talked about before. The first film will be released Christmas 2k1. The second, Christmas 2k2 and the last one of the trilogy on Christmas 2k3. Dang! Over a year and half before the first one is released. Wow!.

MAR 11: Cleo 2525: The new series is back filming the remaining 8 episodes of their first season after a month off. The first 14 episodes are already in the can. Jack of All Trades should be back filming as well.

Includes three  DVDrom games for the computer gamers. Can't wait to get this DVD. Movie stinks in its theatrical form. It is awesome with the extra footage restored.

MAR 11: the PJ's:   FOX has let its option for the series lapse and the WB would like to have the show. It could happen as early as May.

MAR 11: EFC DVD:  Earth Final Conflict is set for its first season to be released on DVD as a boxed set. A VHS set will be availabe also. The release date is sometime this year.  That makes two series doing this in the US with EFC and the X-Files. This is the way to release series.

MAR 11: Murphy Shrinks: Director Peter Segal has signed Eddie Murphy to star in the remake of the 1957 classic Sci-Fi Film 'The Incredible Shrinking Man' for Universal. There are movies that should remain untouched. This is one of those movies. And selecting a comedy actor to star is... terrible. Unlike Will Smith, Eddie Murphy has never shown he can carry a serious role.

MAR 10: Secret Agent Man:  A Decent start but still needs some work. Read my review on the new UPN TV Series.

MAR 10: Robocop PD:  The New 4-movie/ 8 hour mini-series will premiere in the US in syndication come October. It takes place 10 years from the first film. Page Fletcher stars as Robocop. There was no attempts to tone down the graphic violence of the original. These are not kids movies fans. These are made for the adult audiences. The four movie titles are... Dark Justice, Meltdown, Resurrection, and Crash & Burn.

MAR 10: Blockbuster Cinema:  Hell Swarm, aka Ultra Kill due to premiere March 17 is directed by Tim Matheson who also stars. "It is a classic 'B' movie" Matheson tells. "It has lots of action and a lot of aliens." It is still a distinct possibility that UPN will shelve the UPN Movie Timeslot. What is up? More wrestling. Just what we need.

MAR 10: Land of the Lost: Sony is developing movies for Land of the Lost as well as H.R. Pufnstuff which are products of Sid & Marty Kroft. Both were Saturday Morning shows.

MAR 10: Kes is Back:  Star Trek Voyager will see Jennifer Lien back this season for one episodes to reprise her role as KES. Hopefully she could be the key to Voyager getting home. Lets hope so. There could be some great stories about the crew when they get home.

MAR 10: X-Files for 8:  Fox feels that an 8th season is looking promising providing the settle their lawsuit with Duchovny favorably as well as offering him and Gillian Anderson heft raises. Anderson, Scully, is under contract for one more season but has expressed a strong desire to not return.

MAR 10: ID4  Two: Bull Pullman is in negotiations to star in a possible Independence Day sequel that is currently in development. Better make sure you get the others back as well. Especially Will Smith.

MAR 10: Colicos dead: Battlestar Galactica's Count Baltar played by John Colicos died Monday, March 6 after multiple heart attacks in Toronto. He was 71. Colicos also played in Star Trek:TOS and Deepspace Nine as the infamous KOR.

MAR 8Buzz Lightyear: A new Lightyear flick will come to video this August. It will be titled  'Buzz Lightyear: The Movie.

MAR 8: Metropolis: The SciFi Channel has scrapped the development the series Metropolis.

MAR 8: Star Wars, EP1:  The VHS version, NO DVD, will be released next month. It will debut world wide on the same day. This has never has happened before. The SRP will be $24.95.  Later a widescreen collectors edition will be released at $40 with some extras included. FOX will be spending another $20M on advertising of the video. All you suckers get the wallet ready. I'm waiting for DVD.   SWPM made over $922M world wide. Lots a money...

MAR 8: Sixth Sense DVD:  The new DVD being released will include many extra including deleted scenes. (they aren't put back into the movie though.) There is also an extended ending which should be great. Pricing on the DVD will be an SRP of $29.98. The VHS version, with no extras, will be released the same day.

MAR 8: The Abyss SE DVD:  This new DVD package from Fox is loaded.  At an SRP of $35, I have heard rumors of the DVD priced as low as $24.95,  is loaded with the 141 minute version along with the 171 minute version. There is a one-hour documentary, subtitle track, art, storyboard,  movie trailers, and bonus footage. This is a great DVD. Hope they do the same with Terminator 2:SE when it is released.

MAR 8: Pitched Greenbacks:  The new release Pitch Black has done pretty well at the box office making over $23M in the first 10 days of its release. If you haven't seen it yet, do it. Great matinee movie.

MAR 7: Waterworld:EV:   Hope some of you had the VCR's set up this past Saturday night as ABC showed the extended version for what might be the last time for them. Hopefully the SciFi Channel will pay to show it. And not hack it up.

MAR 7: Pearl Harbor: Kevin Costner has stopped his efforts to aquire a key supporting role, perhaps opening the door for maybe Bruce Willis to step in. Both Producer and Director are interested in bringing in Ben Affleck to star as a hotshot fighter pilot. Budget for the huge Disney picture is up to $150M. Possible production date looks to be in the spring time frame.

MAR 7: Ford Traffic: Harrison Ford has decided not to take a pay cut to appear in the film 'Traffic'.  Ford is now planning to do an at present unnamed action  feature. (Indiana 4 is it?) Kevin Costner now moves in as the possible top dog to star opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones who is still attached to the picture but isn't signed yet.

MAR 7: Pretender:  Rumors have been hinted at that Jarod and the Center, in the Pretender, may be in the mist of its final season.  The show meets the rerun requirements of episodes to sell rerun rights.  The ratings on the show are still good. Micheal T. Weiss, finally directed his first episode this season which aired a few weeks ago. It was very well done.

MAR 7: X-Files in May: Finally following the European methods FOX will released the first season of the X-files in a seven disc boxed set in May. The first six discs will have the first 22 episode. The seventh disc will have deleted scenes, interviews and more. SRP will be $149, but people will find the pricing around $90. FOX plans to release another season about every six months. This is the way to do all genre series, old and new.

MAR 7: Blockbuster Cinema:   Apparently UPN may shelve/pull  its Friday Night at 8pm series Blockbuster Cinema. The ratings are sub par. The series airs weekly new low budget genre movies. This years movies are already re-airing on the Sci-Fi Channel.

MAR 5: Lara Croft Who: According to Director Simon West he will be seeking a virtual unknown to portray the video game hero Lara Croft. He isn't interested in a Pamela Lee (Barb Wire) type, but is more interested in the Sigourney Weaver (Aliens) character. At the writing of this news brief there are reports that Angela Jolie is close to signing on for the role.

MAR 5: The Ring Wraps: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Outdoor scenes have completed filming in New Zealand's hot summer. Filming now moves indoors where replica sets of outdoors have been constructed at the Wellington Soundstages.

MAR 5: Gorilla Toast:  FOX, who is remaking the 1986 hit Planet of the Apes, has sent a cease and desist letter to UPN over the series it is developing with Todd McFarlane called Gorilla World. UPN denies the official letter had anything to do with the Studio scrapping the series in development. They hope to develop another series with McFarlane sometime next year.

MAR 5: Witchblade: Yancy Butler, who played a synthetic police officer in 'Mann & Machine', will now play the lead in TNT's new series produced by Oliver Stone. The comic was created by Marc Silvestri and Three others. Butler also played in the feature film 'Drop Zone' . The pilot for the possible series is of course being filmed in Canada. Toronto instead of Vancouver.

MAR 4: Lara Croft: For some reason this project continues to flop around like fish looking for water. Con Air director Simon West has been brought in to get the project back on track. The snag might be the script by Patrick Massert & John Zinman which is almost a Raiders of the Lost Ark.

MAR 4: Robocop PD:  The new dark Robocop: Prime Directive 4 movie mini-series has completed principle photography in February and moved into post production. The movies were filmed in 1.78:1 and will be broadcast in Letterbox. They are enhanced as well for 16:9 televisions. When released on video there will be Special Editions of each movie.

MAR 4: Cleo 2525: Just to do the SFX laser blasts coming from the actors gauntlets cost about $1000 each to add in. Can you believe that? Whew. Might be time to go back to the slug throwers with blanks. Heck of a lot cheaper.

MAR 4: SciFi Travolting:  As a fan of L. R. Hubbard's books and member of the spiritual movement the author founded. John Travolta believes Battlefield Earth, if successful, could be the first in a string of Hubbard film adaptions. And he believes the film will be successful.

MAR 4: Harshed Credited:  The two Harsh Realm Comic creators have won their lawsuit against Fox and series creator Chris Carter over getting improved credit billing for the idea.  The series full 8 eps will air of FX this month. Their credit will be run near the series created by Chris Carter plug.   Glad that they won the suit against FOX. But I still don't think the injuction to stop the show without it would have benefited the comic creators at all.

MAR 4: Slider Movie:  On March 6 Jerry O'Connell, who played Quinn Mallory for the first four seasons of the series, will meet with Robert Weiss to discuss the possibility of a Sliders feature film. He thinks the idea would be a fun project. He is not interested in another slider series throught Studios USA.

MAR 3: Hasselhoff Ruturns:  In the New series 'Double Cross' David Hasselhoff plays a super-spy working for an organization known as 'the Company'. The series will be filmed all over the world. The syndicated series is due for the fall 2K season.

MAR 3: Stargate SG-1: Season 4, of the number one syndicated genre series, began filming in February in Vancouver, Canada. Co-writer Jonathan Glassner has moved on to develop other projects. Brad Wright says he will dearly be missed from the show.

MAR 3: Fox Attack:  20th Century Fox continues to attack fan sites dedicated to their show using sound bites and containing transcripts.  Do not blame  Warner Brothers, since they have promoted the fan based sites on their official sites. Joss Whedon, Angel and Buffy creator, is very appreciative of the fans and their sites. Fox is dearly wrong in this idea. And it will hurt them in the end. Hopefully anyways.

MAR 3: Argonauts:  NBC's Jason and the Argonauts mini-series is still on for April 30 & May 1. Jason London of Dazed and Confused will play the hero Jason.

MAR 3: Fox-n-Buffy: Staying to form FOX may get into a bidding war when Buffy completes its five year contract with the WB.   Currently the WB is paying $1M per episode. That could rise drastically as Fox looks to grab the series for network suffering from very few successful shows.  Fox is getting a reputation to that of Disney in Hollywood circles.

MAR 3: Harshed Suit:  With Harsch Realm due to air this month on FX the lawsuit with comic book creators Hudnall and Paquette, who aren't happy with the amount of credit they are getting.  FX is planning to air the entire 8 completed episodes. If the lawsuit isn't settled before the airing an injunction will be sought after. There is a chance if the show promotes decent ratings if could be brought back into production. Is it worth cutting your own throat right now before the show gets a chance to find an audience for the second time? Is the credit worth it for a series that ran for 3 episodes? Might be worth persuing if the show is successful. Not now.

MAR 1: Dr. Strange: Columbia Pictures has hired Chuck Russell of Eraser to develop a movie based on the Marvel Comics Character. Columbia is already developing the long awaited Spiderman and the man with no fear superhero, Daredevil.

MAR 1: Superman: The new script take on the man of steel will  reportedly go  without the tights and be done in the style of the Matrix. (scifi ch.)

MAR 1: Ally McBeal:  The comedy law firm series that actually does employ many special effects on the show is loosing two stars of the show next season. Billie (Gil Bellows)  and the blond (also on Melrose Place) who plays his wife on the show are departing for greener pastures. No disrespect for the blond, I just can't recall her name at the time of this update. Sorry.

MAR 1: Stallone Speedracer: Sylvester Stallone is preparing to make a feature CART film. (Championship Auto Racing Teams) Stallone is still polishing the script. The Italian Stallion has not had a feature film in the theatres since 1977. Franchise films will produce.  (variety) Incredible to be able to create a script that will earn you $20M regardless of box office appeal. Care to share?

MAR 1: Connor Killed: Word is out that from one of the players in the movie, Connor McCloud, of the clan McCloud will be the one to lose his head in the feature film Highland: Endgame. There can be only one. And Duncan McCloud will be that immortal.
