IGN FimForce.
NOV 18: Angels
2: Columbia pictures is putting together plans for it Charlie's Angel's
sequel. Not really a surprise based on the films success and dollar amount
the past two weeks. None of the films main characters are signed for a
sequel, and it is unknown whether they would be able to get Bill Murray to
return. It the sequel becomes a go it will not take place until after the
summer writers strike. (variety)
NOV 18: Blair
2: even though the film flopped and will likely earn about only

landing into the middle of LA. I think we can do it on a football field
somewhere so that it doesn't cost so much." (cinescape)
NOV 17: Cinescape

NOV 17: KITT

cable and for rental in VHS and DVD formats. Wow!

Stupidity:
Kate Mulgrew, who plays Captain Janeway on Voyager made a comment in
Starlog magazine about characters unhappy with their reduced roles in
recent y these actors should basically take their few lines and make them
golden, like she would. Easy to say when it's you who have gotten the
larger role from their loss. Ready the article in Starlog's December issue
#281 beginning on page 85. Mulgrew has become such an ass after her threat
to leave the show during season 5.

with the Sci-Fi Channel concerning a VR TV Movie and possible series
revival. However says Young in an interview with Starlog's Dan Yakis,
Ryser Entertainment who owns the rights was bought up, only in part by
Paramount. So there is a big gray area. At the moment he doesn't see it
happening, but you never know. VR-5 was a great series before its time,
but would be a hit today.
NOV 14: Trek
V:
Ethan Phillips, who plays Neelix, told Fandom.com that he has heard about

picture 'Mission to Mars' from earlier this year. 'Red Planet' grossed
just $9M over the weekend. This picture is NOTHING like the Mars picture.
Shit, go see this movie.
NOV 13: Fox
Lost It: The Fox Broadcasting Network is crying it lost over $70M
in poor ratings on the World Series. Maybe they shouldn't have signed a
$2.5B, six year deal with Major League Baseball. Should have spent the
money on some new quality series, to compete with the big three.
NOV 13: Hannibal:
Dino De Laurentis paid author Tom Harris $10M for the feature rights to

wonderful. Come on people, take a risk and go see this picture. Jeez!!!
NOV 12: Van
Peebles: Mario Van Peebles has joined the cast of the near $80M

actors are finally signed John Logan will begin penning the script. Berman
has revealed that the story will involve an all-new villain and we can
expect something new and interesting happen to Data. (cinescape online).
(last rumor was for Data to be killed off in the film. It is what Spiner
wanted.) Depending on Trek X's schedule, and Jonathan Frakes other project
for Paramount it is still unknown whether or not he will be available to
direct the film. Frakes has directed the last two films. Lavar Burton (LaForge)
has indicated he is interested in directing the tenth film.

but not as Conan. That role may be taken by WWF's 'The Rock' aka Dwayne

followed the evolutionary track and are now hiding among the humans.
They were full rubber body suits to hide their features.
NOV 8: UPN
Week 2: The second week episodes 'Freedom' and 'Level 9' were much better than
their premieres. Both seem to have some quality writers on the series.

next week. The pilot begins its filming on location in Wilmington, N.C.

Bros. Who will be the man behind the mask? Russell would be great.

Stephen Gaghan.

40K: The CGI feature film from Games Workshop continues to
make progress. Visit Exile-Films.com and download a clip from the upcoming film. Animation seems soft and
less than that of the Starship Troopers animated series.
NOV 6: Malkovich
Out: John Malkovich told Empire Online he will not be doing
Spiderman. He said there was some scheduling conflicts and that it really
isn't his genre. Malkovich added, "It was everything. Way too much time, not

NOV 6: Poor
Simpsons: Is it time for 'The Simpsons' to shove off? Well, Bill
Brioux of the Toronto Sun was totally disappointed with the humorless
opening episode for season 12. You would think the best script would be
used for the season opener. What does it leave the fans to look forward
to? The Who guest starred on the opener, to
no avail. The Simpsons is approaching their 250th episode. Can there be
any gas left in the show?
NOV 6: SF

won't be disappointed.
NOV 5: Scooby
News: According to the Hollywood Reporter Buffy's Sarah Michelle
Gellar and her real life boyfriend, Freddy Prince Jr. are in talks for the
roles of Daphne & Freddy. Christina Ricci was mentioned last week as
the main runner for the part of Velma. Seems unlikely with the age of
these actors that Michael Myers will be Shaggy as earlier predicted.
NOV 5: CSI
Packing: CBS's 'CSI' is still a top performer for the genre
(stretching it abit) with a 9.8 rating and is #27 in the overall
standings.
NOV 5: Freakylinks:
Fox's disappointing Freakylinks looks to be making its exit with a
stunning ratings in the low 2's. Fox is stating that the series will
return in December. Does anyone really care? This is not a good series.
NOV 5: Barbarella:
Rumor has it that it will be awhile before this one goes into production.
Drew Barrymore is still attached to the project. It will based on the two
graphic novels and not the stupid original film.
NOV 4: Dracula
2000: It appears that the rumors of Dracula 2000 hitting videos
rather than theatres in December have been false. Dark Horizon has posted
a retraction to their earlier reports. Dracula 2000 is scheduled for
theatres in December. If it's going to video, theatres would not be
running trailers for it next month.
NOV 4: Matrix
2/3: A rumor
posted over on 'ain't it cool.com' is reporting that Jet Li is no longer
being considered for a role in Matrix 2 & 3. The script is finished
and they have decided to go with their original idea of bringing in either
Tom Cruise or Hugh Jackman (wolverine) for the part. Remember, this is
just a rumor, and nothing is confirmed.
NOV 4: MANTIS
Anyone?:
I have added fan pages for the following series today... M.A.N.T.I.S..
Time Trax, and Misfits of Science. See them in the TV SciFi area, Contents
page or click an image to the left. That makes 21 fan pages on this site.
20 of them mine.
NOV 4: Trek
on NBC?:
NBC TV has expressed interest in the fifth series in secret development at
Paramount. A spokesperson for NBC told the trade that if the series became
available they would be interested. However Paramount has decided whether
to take the show syndicated, place in on UPN, or offer it up to the
networks. (cinescape online) UPN said months ago they wanted the series to
replace Voyager. Syndication could be great, and the networks would suck.
They cancel things much to quickly, and there is a very good chance the
series would NOT make a seven year run. How many genre series have made a
seven year run on nation television? X-Files is all that comes to mind.
NOV 4: PS2
Computer?: For import reasons Sony wants their Sony Playstation 2
to be listed as a computer. It would save the unit in cost about $10 each.
The playstation2 may be a DVD player, but a computer? No way Sony. (IDG.net)
NOV 4: No
Buffy Movie:
Sarah Michelle Geller, the star of Buffy, has said she is not interested
in doing a Buffy feature film according the Buzzbox Website. While Joss
Whedon is really interested in doing a feature film, Gellar is adamant she
would never want to do one.
NOV 4: Dark
Angel: Fox
has picked up the Cameron series 'Dark Angel' for the full season.
(variety)
NOV 4: Viper
on Sci-Fi: The original Viper series aired on the Sci-Fi Channel
Wednesday night with little fan fare from the SFC. Looks to be airing on
Wednesday nights at 8pm. The original broadcast was like 44 minutes so the
SFC's version should be edited to about 40 minutes. Check out the Viper
page with episode guide for the original twelve episodes. (all ep
titles are there)
NOV 4: McFarlane
Wins: A suit against Spawn creator 'Todd McFarlane' against
using someones name without permission. Hockey player Tony Twist was suing
McFarlane for $24.5M. The judge through out the suit for lack of 'Credible
Evidence'. McFarlane said the player is out nothing while it cost him
$500,000 and two years to clear his name. He plans to pursue the
issue with Mr. Twist to recover some of his money.
NOV 4: Extras
Happy: The extras in New Zealand say the claims are false
concerning how they were treated. They say they are more than happy. Their
friends envy them, they were compensated, and were well fed. The reason
for sleeping in the tents was to be close to their horses. (E
online)
NOV 3: Star
Trek X:
Marina Sirtis has told the official Star Trek magazine that regardless of
how big her part is in the upcoming movie she is happy to be back in
another picture with her buddies. She says that if they are doing a battle
picture it is more suited to the boys, and that Patrick is the star and
Brent after that who get paid the big bucks, and it ain't to sit in the
trailers. Spiner the star. Ryker is my favorite.
NOV 3: Dark
Angel Down: Rating for the Fox series 'Dark Angel' have dropped for the third straight
week. Angel earned a 6.6 rating this week. As I stated earlier I thought
this one would settle in the 5.7 to 6.1 rating area once all the hype on
the new series dropped and its audience was set.
NOV 3: Deadline
Dead: The
non-genre TV Series Deadline from NBC starring Oliver Platt (3 muskateers)
has been pulled/ cancelled after just five weeks, but had a rating of 3.7
(9.82M households) That would be a great UPN or WB rating. Of course their
circulation is about a third less than the major networks. See ya Oliver.
Of course, rather than move the series to another night, they just
cancelled the series. Nice move NBC.
NOV 3: Charlie's
Girls: Charlie's Angels hits theatres today. I wonder
if the film which has 'Bill Murray' will do well. The previews look
outstanding. It should have no problem opening at number one with little
competition at the box office.
NOV 3: Lord
of the Rings: Principal photography on the Lord of the Ring trilogy
is on schedule and due to wrap near Christmas. October 11 was the one year
mark for filming.
NOV 3: UPN
Ratings: The
premieres of Freedom and Level 9 brought UPN its best regular-programming
ratings in eight months. (hollywood reporter)
NOV 3: Pitch
Black: Pitch Black not only scored well at the box office, the video/dvd release
is now the number 2 rental in the country. Right behind Black is another
'B' type picture 'Final Destination' from creators 'Wong and Morgan'
NOV 1: The
Sight: The
FX original pilot movie premiered Oct 29 to an FX cable household rating
of 2.4 (1.3M viewers). If you missed the movie it will air again next
Tuesday on FX. I didn't think the film was anything special. It was
OK for a television movie. I don't think a series based on the pilot
would do that well. They should take the route for more TV Movies, rather
than a weekly series.
NOV 3: Dragonfly: Kevin Costner has
had to drop out of Oliver Stone's 'Beyond Borders' due to filming
conflicts. He is due to begin filming 'Dragonfly' next week for Universal
and will not be able to meet 'Beyond's' start date.
NOV 2: CBS
Extends: I told all of you a
several weeks ago that CSI and the District were quality series with
potential, CBS has ordered the full 22 episodes for this season of each.
CBS also picked up the Fugitive for the back nine episodes bring it to 22.
NOV 2: Fan
Pages: The fan pages area has been updated on most of
the series pages to include episodes guides, synopsis where available, and
some have had new images placed, and other images cleaned up. Television
Fan Page. Four new series have been added to the area in the last
month.
NOV 2: Lone
Gunmen: The new Fox series based on characters from the 'X-Files' title 'Lone
Gunmen' begins filming this month in, surprise, Vancouver. The series will
be based around government conspiracy rather than the supernatural of the
X-Files. (fandom.com)
NOV 1: Heston
Goes Ape: Variety is reporting that Charlton Heston will make a cameo in Burton's
'Planet of the Apes' as an ape.
NOV 1: Black
Hawk Down: Ridley Scott is set to direct the Revolution Studios
project 'Black Hawk Down' which will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It
will tell the story of the U.S. Special Forces team dropped into the middle of Mogadishu, Somalia, in 1993 on a mission that was
supposed to take less than an hour but turned into a nightlong battle against
heavily armed Somalis.
NOV 1: The
Fly: Comics2Film is reporting that Robert Zemekis (Back to the
Future) may be doing a feature film based on the Archie Comic 'The Fly'. I
happen to have this comic book and it would make a great film. The Fly was
created in the 50's by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon.
NOV 1: Dungeons
& Dragons: New Line Cinema is finally planning a release date
in December for the long awaited feature film, 'Dungeons and Dragons'. If
successful there are plans for multiple sequels already. The picture was
made for just over $30M.
NOV 2: Ghost
Patrol: Disney has bought the rights to 'Ghost Patrol' and placed
it directly into production with hopes of a Halloween 2k1 release. It is
being described something in the lines of 'Ghostbusters'. Disney will not
green light the film until they read the script from Mark Blackwell, no
relation, Jonathan Bernstein, and Jim Grier. These writers also sold the
idea to Disney for the picture.
NOV 1: Kolchak:
In the next issue of TV Guide there is an article on Kolchak: The Night
Stalker. The first movie 'The Night Stalker' is still the number five most
watched TV Movie in the US. Producer Dan Curtis is still interested in
Bringing the Night Stalker to the big screen but it just hasn't
materialized yet.
NOV 2: Next
Generation: Paramount has delayed the DVD release of its Star Trek:
The Next Generation until late next year. The problem is that Paramount
has NOT decided whether to release 2 or 3 on a disc at a time or in
seasonal boxed sets like X-Files and Buffy. This is info is good for
Europe and the U.S. Hopefully the idiots at Paramount will go with the
season boxed sets. The smart way to do it. Oops, I done said the word.
