MAY 31: Trek Season DVD?: Paramount has decided to abandon the two episode format used with the Star Trek original series dvd. Now Paramount will go to the Seasonal Boxed Set Format used with Buffy and the X-Files. Expect to see 'Voyager', 'Deepspace Nine' and 'the Next Generation' boxed sets by the end of the year. (thedigitalbits.com)

MAY 31: Shanghai II: Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson have agreed to reprising their roles in a sequel to 'Shanghai Noon' titled 'Shanghai Knights'. The first film grossed over $100M worldwide. Tom Dye who directed the first film is optioned for the sequel if Disney-based Spyglass Entertainment want to use him. No production or release date has been set... yet.

MAY 31: Head Adjustment: No, not as dirty as it sounds.  I have added a 'how to' area for adjusting the Video and Audio on your VCR. Save the $69.99 and do it yourself. It just ain't that hard to do. The Dubbing Headquarters, check it out. Lots of great information for the video collector.

MAY 31: Tom Lykis: If you enjoy AM talk radio than you know who Tom Lykis is, or you should. Check out his website and find out where he is on your radio dial. The guy is hilarious and has a great radio show. Check out his website at http://www.blowmeuptom.com. And yes, this link opens a new browser to Tom's site. Enjoy...

MAY 30: Klingon Director: Star Trek Voyager's Roxanne Dawson, who played B'Elanna Torres, will be directing an upcoming episode of the new series 'Enterprise' on UPN. Dawson directed two episodes of Voyager during its run.     It's weird, but just how fresh is the new series going to be with everyone from the old Trek working on the new one. Could lead to the same crap we've had in the past... New Stuff People, Fresh People... Hello! Hell, no one's home.

MAY 30: Shrek II: In a no surprise move by Dreamworks and producer John H. Williams, a sequel to the hit 'Shrek', $99M in 10 days, is in the works.

MAY 30: Sisko Added: UPN has updated the Enterprise Promo airing on UPN affiliate stations to include the forgotten Captain Benjamin Sisko during the promo, while Kirk, Janeway, Picard and Spock were mentioned. Unhappy fans got the promo changed. According to UPN reps it was not intended to snub Avery Brooks or Sisko. Funny as in... odd... that it was the black Captain that was left out.  I am not one to throw the race card so easily, but DS9 was much more popular than Voyager, yet Janeway (because she's a woman) was mentioned. DS9 was the Best since the original, and Avery Brooks, with the stash, was an awesome Captain.

MAY 30: Indiana Jones: The Indiana Jones trilogy for DVD is in work for a release sometime early next year.

MAY 30: Vin is Hellboy!:  Ain't It Cool news is reporting that Vin Diesel is set to star in the Dark Horse Comic. Universal has yet to decide whether they will make the picture. But, it is likely they will make the film. There is even hope that 'Rick Baker' will do the effects.

MAY 30: Site Stats!!!: I know this gets boring for you regulars, but I want to take a moment and again thank everyone visiting the site. Even the ones that let me know they don't like my site. Within the next two days of this month I should surpass my entire totals for last year.  Every month seems to be getting better. By May 31 I should hit nearly 49,000 pageviews and a mere 450,000 raw hits on the site. Almost 17,000 more pageviews then last month. Man! Thank you everyone. I would love to hear from more of you letting me know what you like and don't like. Hell, I even made the site forum of 'somethingawful.com' as a stupid webmaster. Life's great, and I hope all of you enjoy the website. Thank You!

MAY 30: Rodriguez Magic: Robert Rodriguez has scored William Defoe, Johnny Depp, Antonio Banderas and Eva Mendez to star in his upcoming, 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico'. The feature begins production in Mexico this week. By shooting on a tight schedule and using the new state of the art digital cameras Rodriquez is expected to keep his budget under $30M. That is so impressive with the budget of todays films.

MAY 30: Cloak & Dagger: Marvels somewhat unknown characters 'Cloak & Dagger' are now in development at Dimension Films as a live action feature film. 'Cloak & Dagger' I first remember for an appearance in 'the Spectacular Spiderman' comic books. Great characters if the film is developed currectly. It is expected to be an action packed film. (variety)

MAY 29: Rollerball: The new McTiernan feature 'Rollerball' will feature women as part of the teams in the remake which opens August 17. Two women Rollerball stars in the film are Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and female boxer Lucia Rijker. The original 1975 film starring James Caan featured just the men. Hey... it's the 2000's... right?

MAY 29: Bond Battle: MGM wants to take James Bond more American by hiring director Brett Ratner (Rush Hour) and making the films more non-british in style where they think they can make more money. However, producer Babara Broccolli and Pierce Brosnan want to retain director Michael Apted (World is Not Enough). The battle has just begun and it could forever change James Bond. Brosnan should be backing MGM since Broccolli has been aiming to replace him with someone young and virtually unknown.

MAY 29: Driven to DVD: The Sylvester Stallone film Driven is already in DVD development with news that the original cut of the film was 4.5 hours, and Rinny Harlin shot around 300 hours of footage for the film. Expect a ton of extras on the DVD. Hopefully we will get to see the 4.5 hour cut.

MAY 29: Series Archer RPG: A new Cloak and Dagger espionage role playing game is preparing to debut in the fall. Cloak and Dagger will allow players to pit espionage agents from their favorite movies, books, TV series or comics against criminal masterminds, czars and any other world threats. The game will revolve around the twenty sided dice (d20) gaming system like Dungeons and Dragons. The game system will also include a unique system  that allows players to compete in a game of wits directly against the GM, a system that allows the GM to build a character of his own (the criminal mastermind) and his world-spanning organization, and more than 100 feats for players to choose from. Check it all out at their website, click here.     Hey, just pick a gaming system you like, and then create your own Role Playing game. Mix and match game cells for your own style game.

MAY 29: Box Office: While Pearl Harbor might have been the hot feature at the box office, 'Shrek' sucked up a fine looking $54M while The Mummy Returns pulled in nearly $20M for the four day weekend. Totals for Shrek equel $110M, while the second mummy film has taken in '$170M.

MAY 29: Andromeda Rates: For the week ending 'May 13, 'Andromeda' remained the number one first run syndicated series, coming in at number 19 in the overall syndicated ratings.

MAY 29: Wolverine Fans: Hugh Jackman says he has developed a huge fan following since playing 'Wolverine' in the X-Men features. However, he is sure he could do without the more rabid fans. It has gotten to a point when a Wolverine crazed fan put the actor in head lock to show him the Wolverine tattoo on his bicep. In another incident a store manager came up to him and ripped off his shirt to show Jackman his Wolverine tattoo that covered his chest and back.

MAY 29: The Art of Chan: Jackie Chan will star in two big budget films for Hong Kong based producer- distributor Golden Harvest. 'Sun Tzu's Art of War' will be one of them and is likely to be the biggest budgeted film ever for a Hong Kong feature at about $75M.  The first film though, 'Operation Condor 3' will be budgeted at $38.5M. The details of the film are being kept under wraps. Most Hong Kong features range around $6.4M dollars U.S.

MAY 29: APE Promotions Gets Stupid: Fox is getting carried away with the promotion method of its new Planet of the Apes campaign in a way that will cost idiots $100 to play the game. Read on... To play, users first must purchase a Global Positioning Satellite unit. Once restricted to military use, GPS units are now available to the general public for around $100 at most consumer electronic outlets. Using the GPS units and coordinates supplied every Friday at the picture's official site (http://www.planetoftheapes.com), players then race to locate a cache, usually hidden in a park or woods near a major metropolis anywhere around the world. The cache contains a prop from the picture, a camera and a log book. The winner can then take a picture of himself that will be posted on the site with his comments about the experience. In the 13-week campaign, Fox will hide caches in eight U.S. cities and five international locales.

MAY 28: A Box Office Pearl: The new Michael Bay picture 'Pearl Harbor' took in an estimated '$75.1M for the four day weekend. About $15M less than originally expected. Nice numbers, but no record breaker. The critics really disliked the feature, but what else is new. These people wouldn't know a hit, if it sat on their face and wiggled. Fuckem! These are the same morons who didn't think 'Gladiator' should have been nominated for best picture.

MAY 28: Eckhart a Piece of Shit!: This is an article in Yahoo News... MEMO to all pretty publicists: stay away from Aaron Eckhart. The "Erin Brockovich" star was hanging out at a Hugo Boss store party last week when a comely young woman asked if she had met him somewhere before. Next week's New York magazine reports Eckhart snapped, "If you don't know who the bleep I am, you don't have the right to ask me." When someone told the stunned partygoer who Eckhart was, she foolishly returned for more punishment, saying she had once shared a business dinner with him and "In the Company of Men" director Neil LaBute. "If you approach me," Eckhart growled, "you need to have a reason. I hate all you publicist whores." The woman, in tears, said she was neither a publicist nor a whore and had been supportive of LaBute's and Eckhart's careers before they became famous. "I'm not Neil LaBute's little bitch," Eckhart snarled. "Why don't you call the New York Post and tell them what a [bleep]hole I am?" Consider it done.
What a low life scumbag piece of shit Eckhart is.

MAY 26: the Glow: A new TV Thriller for Fox, 'the Glow' is currently in production in Toronto and scheduled for next season. The thriller will star Lois & Clark's, Dean Cain along with Ally McBeal's Portia de Rossi. Dean Cain has become a 'B' movie actor since his Superman days. Dean Cain's next feature is from Paramount titled 'Rat Race' due out in August. Unknown whether or not it is a feature film, or another 'B' movie.

MAY 26: Mann & Machine: Found a site today that actually took the images from my Mann page to create their own site. And no credit for the used images either. That's pretty low. But do you remember the series starring Yancy Butler, of the new Witchblade series? Mann & Machine was a short lived mid-season replacement series that lasted just 9 episodes. Check out my dedication to the series.

MAY 26: Band of Brothers: The 10 hour $120M World War II mini-series 'Band of Brothers' will air for the first time on HBO beginning Sept 9 and will run on Sundays for 10 weeks in one hour installments.

MAY 26: C.S.I. Tops: It might be a stretch putting the first year series C.S.I. into the genre category but what the hell. The new series finished the season as the number ten rated series for the season. Amazing for a series that was a last minute pick-up and given almost no pre-season hype like the now defunct 'the Fugitive' series. C.S.I. is actually a more modern day 'Quincy' drama with an ensemble cast of characters. The writing has been outstanding, and the acting superb on the Las Vegas based series.

MAY 26: Simpsons Kick Butt: The Simpsons out performed most of the competition again this season finishing number 20 overall.  Simpsons has pretty much been picked up for two more seasons (44 episodes).

MAY 25: Buffy Demise: Buffy the Vampire Slayer may be a rotting corpse in the off season, but she be back for her two hour UPN premiere in the fall. Giles, Anthony Stewart, is moving to London for his spin-off series and will only have a recurring role next season. Creator Joss Whedon says to expect changes next season.

MAY 25: Nosebleed: MGM is in the process of acquiring the Jackie Chan project 'Nosebleed' from New Line, who has put the project in turn-around. The $55M project is about a window washer and a waitress working on the World Trade Center who are forced to work together to thwart a plot to bomb the twin towers. The Hyde Park production company is working to co-finance the project as well.

MAY 25: Ricci's 1st Nude Scene: Christina Ricci stars with Johnny Depp in the limited release feature 'The Man Who Cried'. Though in this film the 21 year old actress isn't really nude in the film. In the feature 'Prozac Nation' which the young actress co-produces she actually does her first nude scene. Ricci says she was pretty calm about the experience. The young 'Wednesday Addams' has turned into a lovely young woman. I hope the roles she chooses get better than her previous films.

MAY 25: Elvira Sighting: The horror star, Elvira, will be heading to DragonCon this year to promote her new and final movie. If you enjoy the character you may enjoy heading to the DragonCon in Atlanta this year.

MAY 25: Outer Limits Expands: The Sci-Fi Channels 'Outer Limits' series is headed to the big screen according to Variety. MGM has made a two picture deal with Victor and Grais productions. They are currently in search of a scribe for the first film.

MAY 25: Episode 1 DVD: thedigitalbits.com website has confirmed from retailers have quietly confirmed an official Oct. 16 street date.

MAY 25: Shatner Goes Psycho: William Shatner will play a role in the upcoming 'American Psycho 2' according to Coming Attractions. His parts are currently filming at York University, where he is playing a FBI profiler turned college professor named Robert Strickland.

MAY 24: Black Diesel: Actor Vin Diesel not only has the Terminator 3 role to look forward to, he is currently training for the upcoming Pitch Black sequel 'the Chronicles of Riddick'. The sequel is being written by David Hayter, who also wrote the X-Men.

MAY 24: Buffy Crossovers: I find it amazing that fans of both series could even ask about crossovers between Buffy and Angel. Both shows may be from the same studio, but they are on different networks, and the WB and UPN aren't exactly on the best terms. So, the answer to the question is... Not Likely, though Whedon would certainly like it if they would.

MAY 24: Enterprise: Rick Berman is giving the new series a lot of mouth time, in order to promote the new series on UPN. Hopefully he will be bringing in some fresh writers and NOT the staff from Voyager. They only seem to know about holodecks, time displacement, and borg stories.  The time has come for Star Trek to get into some character driven stories rather than the same technobabble crap we've had in the past. This new idea has potential that should not be wasted. But so did Voyager, and it was.

MAY 24: Bond 20: John Cleese has signed on for the next three bond films and will be called 'Q'.

MAY 24: Ghostbusting Murray: Not only are the rights tied up on a possible third film, but according to Dan Akroyd, he isn't going to risk his friendship with Murray because he doesn't want to explore a concept. He wants to move on and Akroyd can't blame him.

MAY 24: Voyager Finale: Did you watch it? I did. It was a wonderful episode. One of the best this season. However, the episode came up short for me as the crew didn't get home until the final minute of the final episode. This should have been the 'Unimatrix Zero' episode, with the episodes that followed dealing with the cast after they get home. I mean come-on, seven was a borg, Chekotay and Torrez are maquis; the doctor is a hologram who's now a person, and Tom Paris has a father who's an Admiral and Tom had the bad reputation when they left the alpha quadrant. What great stories these offered the writers to create and fans to watch.

MAY 23: Buffy Moves: The WB continues to play games with Buffy as it will now move to Wednesdays at 8pm from its long running Tuesdays at 8pm time slot. Buffy was originally not going to air this summer on the WB. However, the WB will be airing the repeats in an effort to mess with fans and UPN who have watched Buffy on Tuesdays since it premiered on the WB.

MAY 23: 3rd Times a Charmed: The WB has finalized a deal for a three year renewal of its 'Charmed' series that will be minus 'Shannon Doherty'. This would likely guarantee the series to a six year run, providing of course the ratings stay solid. The WB has been signing many of series now to multi-year deals to prevent what happened to Buffy.

MAY 23: Special Unit 2: For those who missed any of the Special Unit 2 broadcasts for their personal collection, get the VCR hot. UPN will be broadcasting repeats of the short run first season. They will begin airing after Seven Days completes its season.

MAY 23: Devastator: Jerry Bruckheimer Television is developing Jerry Hudnall's (harsh realm co-creator) Devastator comic into a weekly series. Witchblade pilot director Ralph Hemecker is already attached for the Devastator pilot. The comic takes place in the near future and tells the story of a man, John Blake, an ex-cop whose life sucks and is getting worse. He takes a drug that will give him some temporary relief and make him happy. However the drug has been tampered with turning him into an assassin who is suppose to take out the major of a major city. Fighting back the drug Blake sets out to find the people who did this to him.

MAY 23: Traffic DVD: USA Home Entertainment will ship over one million units of its 'Traffic' on VHS and twice that amount on DVD, which will be released on Tuesday. USA has received a record number of orders for the film.

MAY 23: TNT Charmed: TNT has purchased rerun rights for up to eight seasons of the WB's witch series 'Charmed'. The deal also includes airing repeats of current episodes within one week of its original broadcast on the WB. TNT paid $600,000 per episode for the rerun rights and another $150,000 per episode for the second run rights of current episodes. Second run episodes cannot run until 10pm, when the WB is off the air. Charmed is not serialized, which appealed to TNT so they would not have to air them in any particular order.

MAY 23: Only Beltran Honest: It looks like for the fear of not possibly getting into the Star Trek feature films, the cast of Voyager, with the exception of Robert Beltran, refuse to speak out about the horrible writing, and basic dumping of cast members in the stories. There have been hints in interviews of the casts... hidden temper. Only Beltran has been upfront about the snubbing. He has been ridiculed by the media, and many fans have spoken bad about the actor for his being  outspoken about the situation. The writers of Voyager have done a terrible job for at least the past two seasons. Berman and crew have crapped on the cast in favor of the Janeway/Seven & Doctor based theme. The final 12 episodes were less than stellar when the opportunity of stories told with them getting home could have been an outstanding opportunity for fulfilling character storylines.

MAY 23: Blue News: It isn't genre but it sure as hell is a great TV in 'NYPD Blue'. There is a rumor hitting the internet that Ricky Schroeder is leaving the series. Shroeder has been on the show for the past 2.5 seasons as detective Danny Sorenson. He may appear in the first few eps next season and then depart. His agent and the shows producers are denying the rumor, but have young Mark-Paul Gosselaar waiting in the wings. Notice how fresh the series stays with big stars coming and going from the series? It is a great idea that no one else seems to catch on to. JUNE 2: It became official that Schroeder walked away from the series citing being away from his family was just to much.

MAY 22: Angel Speaks: The WB's Angel star, David Boreanaz, told TV Guide online that he really had no preference whether 'Angel' stayed on the WB or moved to UPN with sister series 'Buffy'. Boreanaz also added the regardless of which network the series is on, he would simply go to work and do his thing. Angel moves to Mondays at 9pm next season following 7th Heaven.

MAY 22: No Vamps or Aliens: The WB has no plans to show repeats of 'Buffy', 'Angel' or 'Roswell' this summer. Fans wanting to see the season again will have to pull out their recordings or borrow from a friend. I think the WB stands for 'Whining Babies'. Amendment: Buffy will now be airing this summer in repeats on Wednesdays at 8pm.

MAY 22: Shrek to ABC: ABC has brought the television broadcast rights to the new animated feature 'Shrek' for 2004. The price you ask, the price could hit around $30M based on box office dollars if the series surpasses the $200M gross.

MAY 22: Vin Diesel Ready: Reports of Terminator 3 continue to move forward. Vin Diesel has said he is eager to strike a deal for the role if it should be offered to him.

MAY 22: Earthsea: The Sci-Fi Channel has sealed the deal for a big-budget mini-series based on the 'Lord of the Rings' type trilogy 'Earthsea' novels. The deal is from producers Lawrence Bender (mexican) and Kevin Brown (roswell). The SFC is currenly in search of a writer.

MAY 22: Knight Rider: Per request I have added a Knight Rider VHS Cover Sheet today. Check It Out... I would like to thank Ritchie at http://www.knightrider.ws for the images he provided for the cover sheet. Thanks Ritchie!

MAY 22: StarChild: Tim Allen may be returning to the genre in the upcoming 'StarChild' feature film. He is currently negotiating for the role. Tim Allen currently has 'Big Trouble' coming to theatres in September. 'Nutty Professor 2' director Peter Segal, will be helming the project.

MAY 22: Sci-Fi Mini-Series: The success of the 'Dune' mini-series has made the Sci-Fi Channel get into the mini-series mode. Upcoming for the channel are 'the Dune Sequel', 'Taken' from spielberg at 20 hours, 'Firestarter', 'Robocop PD', and 'Red Mars'.

MAY 22: Dreamworks Sells Half the Road: The Tom Hanks feature film is now half in the hands of 20th Century Fox. Dreamworks, to release Spielberg from an option movie from Fox,  has agreed to sell half its stake in the upcoming 'The Road to Perdition'. Perdition stars Tom Hanks, Jude Law and Paul Newman. 'Perdition' is set in Depression-era Chicago. It follows story of Michael O'Sullivan -- better known by the sobriquet the Angel of Death -- a hitman out to avenge the murders of his wife and youngest son.

MAY 21: Enterprise, What to leave out: Hopefully the new series and Scott Bakula will never create a holodeck and never discover time travel. The writers constantly abused those ideas. Gee how can we destroy the starship or kill someone off, and still bring them back? I know, a time distortion. Come on. Harry Kim is from another time line, and they have never dealt with that from in another episode.

MAY 21: Sheena Update: I previously reported that the Gina Lee Nolan's series 'Sheena' was renewed, which is was, but only for a 13 episode commitment. If the ratings are good, the remaining 9 episodes will get done. I thought the first season was absolutely horrible, and was amazed it was renewed. Nolan may be babe material, but she can't act.

MAY 21: Jurassic Park 4: Steven Spielberg has told Amblin pictures to begin coming up with ideas for a fourth film. The director/producer is interested in continuing the franchise should the third film do well at the box office. Spielberg has been very happy with what he has seen of the third film from Joe Johnston and would again produce a fourth film. He will not step behind the camera again for any more Jurassic films.

MAY 21: No V from WB: Kenneth Johnson told Illana's V Page, that when he talked with Warner Bros. about a new mini-series and gave them his ideas on how to do it, he received a ho-hum from them. What else is new, said Johnson. It won't happen anytime soon if a all.

MAY 21: Monica II: Monica Lewinsky might want to be forgot as the blow job queen to President Bill Clinton, but it isn't likely to happen as Vac Tron, who sells expensive heavy duty equipment will be naming its more svelte model 'MONICA  II'.

MAY 21: Halloween 8: The first week of filming has been completed and word is that Jamie Lee Curtis has been great for the crew to work with.

MAY 21: Shrek Money: The new animated Shrek feature was number one at the box office this week taking in an estimated $42.1M.  A number two rating in the animated features behind Toy Story 2 which grossed $57M in its opening weekend.

MAY 21: Signs: Mel Gibson is negotiating to star in M. Night Shyamalan's Disney Thriller 'Signs'.

MAY 21: Sci-Fi Fonts Update: Got an email from the sites owner, and the site is coming to me in the mail soon. He's been dealing with a new job and some family problems. The site should be mailed out to me soon. Please be patient.

MAY 21: Enterprise Locations: The new series Enterprise will actually get fresh sets, instead of the recycled rotting sets from previous Star Treks. Paramount is actually spending some funds and building the sets heavy duty to last for a long run. This series will actually be filming some off the studio grounds. They will be filming some at the Hyperion Sewage Plant that was used in 'Logan's Run'. Stage 9 was previously a Star Trek stage where the warp core was set-up, but will not be used in the new series since the building has been condemned. Stage 18 is being used instead. Can you believe Paramount has stages that are so dilapidated that they have to be condemned? Cheap bastards.  (section 31)

MAY 21: Mummy Rolling Along: The Mummy returns fell to number two this week with a take of just over $20M, bringing its total to $146.5M in 17 days.

MAY 20: Dead Alive: UPN will be holding on to 'the Dead Zone' as its only scheduled mid-season replacement series. As mentioned before, the pilot movie has tested higher than any other series for UPN.

MAY 20: Terminator 3: Pre-production of Terminator 3 has moved into full gear with the passing threat of the writers strike gone by. Jonathan Mostow is now directing the picture that had been searching for a big name director. Tedi Sarafin is writing the script for the franchise which has grossed over $250M. Rather than the often talked about female villain terminator, Vin Diesel is now being talked about to take on Arnold. A female good cyborg may happen, but it would likely be one who is more of a babe, than big and muscular like Chyna of the WWF.

MAY 20: Early Season: UPN is planning on starting their new fall season as early as August rather than the final two weeks of September, which is normal.

MAY 20: Enterprise: The premiere of 'Enterprise' will be two-hours, which UPN is planning to market heavily in the media with one of the networks heaviest campaigns yet.

MAY 18: Dead... Again: The Sci-Fi Wire is reporting that 'the Dead Zone' is still with UPN as a mid-season replacement series. The series will star Anthony Hall (Pirates of Silicon Valley), and Nicole deBoer (deepspace nine).  UPN really does need to keep something in line as a mid-season replacement, or a new series for next season should the network acquire 'Angel' after it's dumped by the WB.

MAY 18: Sega Does Nintendo: Struggling game maker Sega has announced it will create three new games for the new 'Nintendo Gamecube' when it debuts in September. Other deals for Sega include software games for the upcoming Microsoft console 'X-box' along with games for the Sony Playstation 2 and Nintendo Gameboy.

MAY 18: Xbox for Christmas: The new Microsoft Gamin console will launch Nov 8, just in time for the Christmas rush. They will use the crucial holiday season to break into the 6.5 billion dollar market in a fight for dominance with Sony and Nintendo. Xbox will launch with a price of $299, the same as a Playstation 2 console. However Sony is planning a drop to $200 when the Xbox is released. Nintendo's 'Gamecube' is planning its November release at $200. (Nintendo sucks folks. Stick with the Sony or Xbox units) Microsoft is planning to sell around 1.5 units during the Christmas rush.

MAY 18: Lawless Get Punked: In the upcoming Spiderman feature, Lucy Lawless will get a cameo appearance on the film as a punk rocker. She will be dragging on a cigarette, wearing studs in her nose, punk pants and black boots with a ripped stocking shirt.

MAY 18: New 'V' Mini-Series?: Kenneth Johnson is in talks with some people at Warner Bros. about a new 'V' mini-series. In the original mini-series we sent out a signal for help, to aliens who were supposedly the 'Visitors' enemies. Well, they show up offering the help, but are they really here to help? Are they any better than the Visitors? He would have Faye Grant and Marc Singer reprise their roles and arc the matriarch and patriarch of the resistance with a new group of youths who have grown up knowing nothing except the occupation.

MAY 18: More Toys!: KB toys has purchased nearly nine million dollars worth of toys from the defunct online retailer etoys.com

MAY 18: Xena Finale: the series finale for Xena: Warrior Princess will be a two-parter rather than a two hour finale. 'Friend in Need' will air the weeks of June 11 and 18.

MAY 18: Seven of Nine: Jeri Ryan who plays Voyager's Seven of Nine wasn't un-employed very long as she joins the cast of Fox's 'Boston Public'. No details yet on the role Ryan will play in the series second season. Boston Republic currently airs Mondays at 8pm.

MAY 17: Rock Nukem: The Coming Attractions web site is reporting that Dwayne Johnson, the Rock, has been offered the lead role in the upcoming film. Last month it was rumored the Rock was first in line to be offered the role.  The Rock's comments were that they want to make a franchise out of it.

MAY 17: Dead... Zone: It now looks that UPN's deal for the 'Dead Zone' may not happen, even as a mid-season replacement. UPN doesn't believe they will have a slot for the show this season and have apparently passed on picking up the series. The pilot however, tested better than any of the others ever have. With other networks having filled their schedule the show may be doomed. But with the success of the pilot movie, something may happen.

MAY 17: Enterprise Klingons: Some close the shows production dropped Cinescape a line that the Klingons will crash land on Earth, and we try to help them get home. Something goes wrong and the feud begins. And... the Klingons will have the bumpy heads. Reasoning is, that if Gene Roddenberry had had the money the Klingons would have had the bumpy heads.

MAY 17: Dreamcatcher: Lawrence Kasdan has signed on to the big screen project of Stephen King's 'Dreamcatcher'. (hollywood reporter) Four men will take on the menace in order to save the world.

MAY 17: Oz Production: HBO's prison drama 'Oz' is currently in production for its fifth season slated for 2002.

MAY 17: Roswell Gets 22: UPN has signed a late minute deal with Roswell producers for 22 episodes next season as part of UPN's fall 2001/2002 season. Roswell as expected will follow Buffy on Tuesday nights.

MAY 17: Special Unit 2: The new mid-season replacement gets a slot on the UPN fall schedule on Wednesdays at 9pm following the new Star Trek series 'Enterprise' at 8pm.

MAY 17: Seven Days Timed Out: With Buffy, and Roswell coming to UPN and Special Unit 2 performing better than Seven Days, the series has made its final jump. Paramount wanted the series renewed for another season, but UPN has no room for it on their schedule.

MAY 17: Fox TV Gets Digital: Fox has purchased four Philips LDK 7000 Digital Cinematography cameras for use in its television productions for the Fox group companies. The will be able to record approximately one-hour per cassette.

MAY 17: X-Files is Go: The X-Files is on Fox's new fall 2001 line-up. As expected it nearly came down to the 11th hour getting the series lock down and Chris Carter on board. This should be the final season of the X-Files since Gillian Anderson is in the final year of her contract and has bitched about making millions doing it for the last two years. Duchovny is out for season nine unless he does a cameo, and if a tenth season happens it would likely be with out Anderson and Carter.

MAY 17: Lone Gonemen: The Chris Carter spin-off series 'The Lone Gunmen' is NOT on the fall schedule or as a mid-season replacement. Ratings for the limited run series were not high enough to warrant its return. However, it might be another series that UPN could think about as well as Roswell. Ratings for 'the Lone Gunmen ran in the 3.4 ratings while Roswell was under 2.0 most of the time. Imagine a UPN season with Buffy, Roswell, Lone Gunmen, Enterprise, Special Unit 2 and the Dead Zone. Wow, not a bad line-up to take on the WB.

MAY 16: Angel Not Happy: David Boreanaz doesn't appear happy that his show is returning  to the WB instead of being picked up by UPN. Angel star Boreanaz cause a tense moment at the WB's fall line-up presentation May 15, when he appeared on stage and said 'This isn't the UPN'. Boreanaz' crack apparently caught WB prez Jordan Levin by surprise.

MAY 16: Jurassic Park III: The new Joe Johnston feature opens in theatres July 20th. The third and likely final installment of Jurassic Park will star Dr. Alan Grant, again played by Sam Neill.  Also featured in the film is Tea Leoni, and William H. Macy.

MAY 16: Episode I DVD: Dark Horizons has reported an October 16 street date in the United States for the Star Wars: Episode One DVD. The DVD package is expected to be loaded with extra material to excite even the fans who weren't so happy with the film.

MAY 16: No Lone Gunmen: It is now expected that Fox will not have 'the Lone Gunmen' on any of its schedules for tomorrows May 17 schedule presentation. See ya!

MAY 16: Broken Bow: This will be the title of the upcoming pilot episode/movie for the new Enterprise series. It will cover the humans first contact with the Klingons. The pilot will be shooting on the Paramount lot until June 19 and it being helmed by longtime Star Trek director James L. Conway. The character T'Pau has been renamed T'Pol, and suggests that it will be an entirely different character. Jolene Blalock of 'Jason and the Argonauts' will play the role. Tomorrow should find more information as UPN presents its new fall line-up to the advertisers.

MAY 16: Roswell: It is now looking as if Roswell is out completely from the WB, and its fate now rests with UPN. Apparently the WB was considering keeping the show as a mid-season replacement but backed out on that option. UPN must now step forward and negotiate a deal with 20th Century Fox to pick up the series for the 2001/2002 season. Picking up the series would give Buffy a powerful companion on Tuesday nights. UPN has received more than 10,000 bottles of Tabasco from fans wanting either Fox (who originally passed on Roswell) or UPN to consider the show if the WB cancelled the series.

MAY 16: Charlie's Angels 2: Producers Leonard Goldberg is hoping to begin filming the sequel to Charlie's Angels next spring, but none of the cast is signed on to a sequel. Goldberg has made it known that the future of the project doesn't hinge on them returning.  Says Goldberg, "If the studio wants to do the sequel, which we assume it will, and things don't work out with the current Angels, I assume the movie would simply be made without them." Cameron Diaz has seemed disinterested in the project when asked about a few months after the movie premiered.

MAY 16: Wonder Woman: the Joel Silver produced feature has been in development hell for over a year now still has 'Sandra Bullock' slated as the front runner again for over a month now. Producers Silver and Goldberg are hoping to have her slip into the role of the comic book hero, and recent conversations have been positive with her.

MAY 16: Dark Angel: Well, it appears that sophomore show 'Dark Angel' will be spreading its wings for a second season on FOX as it will head to Friday nights at 8pm and followed by new drama series 'Pasadena'. The 8pm time slot has been a great sci-fi slot on Fox.

MAY 16: X-Files: Fox has three schedules on the board right now. One has X-Files on it and the other two do not. Fox is hoping for an 11th hour signing of Chris Carter for season 9, or at least have him in consulting role.

MAY 16: UPN/Paramount Deal: As expected UPN and Paramount have worked deal for Enterprise. Nothing surprising or new with that information, but it is a done deal now.

MAY 16: Dead Zone: The new UPN series might be used as a mid-season replacement rather than make the fall line-up for the series.

MAY 16: Voyager Finale Gonna Suck: Fans of Star Trek: Voyager will have already read the spoilers of the finale 'Endgame'. What a disappointing story. Sure, they get home like everyone wanted. Hell Jeri Ryan couldn't have a cameo in Trek X if they didn't.  We never get to see what happens when Voyager gets home. The end scene is Voyager back in the alpha quadrant with a bunch of starships around it heading to earth. What we see in the first hour of Voyager at home for over 20 years doesn't exist due to changes the old Janeway makes to get Voyager home with Seven still alive, and Tuvok not insane. The writers, producers and Paramount missed the ball again with this one. Fans get fucked and that's OK with Paramount again. Voyager should have gotten home before the season was half over. Robert Beltran is right with his complaints. The only problem is that the rest of the cast remain closed mouthed in hopes of getting into the movie side of Star Trek.

MAY 15: TNT & Repeats: Sister network TNT is in talks with the WB to air repeats of new episodes within seven days of the original broadcast for first year series 'Smallville' and the new season of 'Charmed'. TNT would air them at 10pm. Still a primetime slot, but after the WB is off the air.

MAY 15: Enterprise: Sources close to the series are reporting that the new starship will look similar to the original 1701 Enterprise A. Some of the crew will wear Voyager like blue jumpsuits emblazoned with a starship shoulder patch.

MAY 15: Battletech TV: D.C. Fontana who is famous for her work with Star Trek is helping Foundation Imaging and Tribune Entertainment develop a one hour action series titled 'Mechwarrior'. The one hour series will follow the lives of two galactic princes who are forced to work together to repel a group of banished  Marauders on the edge of the galaxy. Foundation is famous for its work on 'Babylon 5' and 'Star Trek Voyager'.

MAY 15: Planet of the Apes: The Dark Horizons website has some awesome quality images from the new upcoming film. Click the link, which will open a new browser, and check out the images Garth has up on his site.

MAY 15: Wolf Lake OK: Looks like the new paranormal thriller 'Wolf Lake', which stars Lou Diamond Phillips, is actually going to be on CBS' fall line-up when the network announces it to the advertisers. The series will focus on investigators, ala the X-Files, who probe mysterious activities among wolves in the pacific northwest. (hollywood reporters and the trades)  I did report this series months ago, and it is already listed in the CHANNEL NEWS. Read more about the series there. Click the link.

MAY 15: Fox Schedule: Fox is expected to reveal their new fall line-up on MAY 17 in New York to advertisers: Everyone again is wondering whether or not the X-Files will be on it along with sister series 'the Lone Gunmen'.

MAY 15: Roswell, A Midseason Replacement: Once again, as with the first season, Roswell could find itself as a mid-season replacement. The struggling series is NOT on the WB's fall schedule. They could hold the series and bring it back after one of its shows falter, or reruns begin for something new. UPN is interested in picking up the series, which may lead the WB to keep it for mid-season only to keep UPN from getting it.

MAY 15: So Long Nash: It appears the Don Johnson cop series is headed for the TV series trash heap. Nash Bridges and Diagnosis Murder series are not on CBS' fall line-up.  The final decision on them has yet to be made officially, but it doesn't look good.

MAY 15: Earthfall: Chris Roberts (director of wing commander) has opened his own production company titled 'Point of No Return'. His first project is 'Earthfall'. A $55M thriller is set on a Mars colony in the year 2812. Chris Roberts company plans to produce 12 films and some TV series over the next five years according to the trade papers.

MAY 15: WB Schedule: The WB is unveiling their new fall line-up today for advertisers in New York. (hollywood reporter)

MAY 14: Roswell out, Angel in: The Hollywood Trade papers are reporting that Roswell has been dropped from the WB 2001 fall line-up, while Angel has been picked up for this fall and will slide into Roswell's Monday 9pm time slot following '7th Heaven'. The new Superman series 'Smallville' will be placed into Angel's Tuesday at 9pm slot. UPN is interested in picking up Roswell, but no deal is in place yet. The WB kept 'Angel' simply to prevent UPN from having the set and a strong night.

MAY 14: Rangers Casting: The Sci-Fi Channel's 'Legend of the Rangers' pilot movie has cast Alex Zahara (Dark Angel), Myriam Sirois (babylon 5), Dylan Neil, Warren Takeuchi, Dean Marshall, Jennie Rebecca Hogan, Gus Lynch, David Storch, Enid-Raye Adams, Mackenzie Gray, and Andreas Katsulas who plays G'Kar from the series. Production of the pilot was is set to begin today in Vancouver and Toronto. It is likely that not all of the actors or characters would return should the pilot be picked up for a series.

MAY 14: Chow Yun Fat Gets Woo'd: Asian action star Chow Yun Fat, who turned down the lead villain role in the upcoming Scorpion King will be doing back to back John Woo projects. The first will be 'Honor Among Thieves' and the second an epic action drama from the writers of 'Face/Off'. (dark horizons)

MAY 14: Charmed Returns: The WB is expected to pick up Charmed for a 4th season. However, 'Shannon Doherty's character 'Prue' will not be returning. There has again been some tension with her on an Aaron Spelling series, and there has been no word as too the reason for her departure. However, it was to have been either Milano or Doherty who would leave and the producers made their choice. (hollywood reporter)  With Doherty's departure and Milano boinking a costar, before he dumped his wife, the series behind the scene is a true mess. While Doherty has her problems, she is a much better actress than Milano. The WB is in the process of sealing a deal with Spelling for the series through the 2003-2004 season.

MAY 14: Enterprise: The series two-hour premiere begins filming to day. You can't really call it a pilot since the show has already been picked up as a series. Scott Backula has suggested Captain Archers middle name be 'Beckett' from Quantum Leap to give fans something to think about. The suggestion was not met with much enthusiasm. A special appearance by former 'Leap' costar 'Dean Stockwell' is also being talked about. I think he should show up as a halogram that only Archer can see or hear. HeeHeehehehe.

MAY 14: Trek X: Once again the next Star Trek feature will focus around Picard and Data with a nice portion of the film giving Deanna Troi a lot more to do than in previous films. This news is from an interview with scribe John Logan. After nine films we finally get one that will feature the Romulans as part of the villains in the feature. Picard and Data... give me a break.

MAY 14: Internet Mummy Up: The Mummy is only hitting it on the big screen but on the computer screen as well. The Mummy Returns website, themummy.com, has had a 34% increase in traffic, with 193,000 unique visitors since May 6.

MAY 14: X-Box Stats: The new X-Box gaming console from Microsoft will cost about $300. The unit will be based on a Pentium III platform processor, an nVidia graphics chip, separate audio chip, and an 8 gigabyte hard drive. It will also include highspeed internet jack, and four controllers rather than two like most games. Analysts say it will take five years to become profitable with Microsoft selling the units at just $300. Microsoft also knows it will have to work hard to lower the price of the console in time. The X-Box is expected to launch with around 12 to 15 games on the same day.

MAY 13: The Mummy Returns: In its second weekend the Mummy sequel retained the number one spot scaring up $32.2M for a two week total of $116.5M.

MAY 13: A Knights Tale: the Heath Ledger film opened at number 2 behind the Mummy Returns taking in $17.M, putting it on schedule to earn about $80M. A Knights Tale cost about $41M to create.

MAY 13: Pearl Harbor: The Disney feature will hit theatres in about a week as Disney plans a $5M weekend bash to promote the $135M film. The spending has spawned some questions over how Disney, which is laying off some 4,000 workers due to the weak economy, could spend $5 million on parties, press and a grand premiere. Disney has always been fucked up since I was kid. People just never care, because it's Disney.

MAY 13: Spy Kids: The Robert Rodriquez $32M film 'Spy Kids' remains in the top ten at number 6. It has grossed $101.5M in just 45 days. Rodriquez is planning a sequel to the film.

MAY 13: Douglas Adams Dead: Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy author, Douglas Adams has died. The 49 year old writer died suddenly at his home Friday from a heart attack. His 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' has sold over 14 million copies worldwide, and is being turned into a feature film. RIP.

MAY 13: Justice League: Animated series producer, Shaun McLaughlin has confirmed rumors that the first 90 minutes of the Justice League  will focus on the teams origin. The episode will be titled 'Secret Origins'. The stories will be larger than those used on Batman Beyond or Superman. Beyond the 90 minute story will be a second 90 minute story and 10/ 60 minute stories.

MAY 13: Galactica on UPN?: There is a rumor milling around right now, from Electronic Media that UPN might order up the new Bryan Singer series 'Battlestar Galactica' when it's ready. The Sci-Fi Channel would then get the repeat run of the series. This type of behavior could lead UPN in an interesting direction with other shows it is interested in like Angel and Roswell. It could challenge the Sci-Fi Channel when it comes to original SF series. UPN reportedly has another four genre series in development if it is doesn't get Angel or Roswell.

MAY 13: Andromeda Awarded: Received this in an email tonight... Andromeda won Best Visual Effects / Best Dramatic Series with 'Mathematics of Tears' VFX Supervisor Finn.  Vfx Production Crew, Roberto Biagi, Tom Tennsico, Geoff Anderson, Jamie Kawano.  Andromeda was also nominated for several other awards in the Vancouver Film Awards.

MAY 12: Lord of the Rings: In a special Cannes showing of a piece of the film 'Lord of the Rings'  cast a spell on the viewers. Patrons of the Cannes got to view 20 minutes of footage from the unfinished first film. Lord of the Rings is due to hit theatres in Christmas of this year. At the end of the viewing the crowd burst into applause. Director Peter Jackson had been worried had asked and asked the crowd to view the cut as an unfinished piece. His worry was unfounded. This is a film/trilogy with huge expectations, and its premiere could break the new weekend record held by 'the Mummy Returns'. (yahoo news)

MAY 12: X-Men 2: The Herald Sun is reporting that 'X-Men 2 & 3' are going to be filmed back to back.  This is one to be suspicious of since the last thing from Singer was nothing but talk about coming up with the story for just one film. Sequel rumors are on a rampage now. Be leery of most of them.

MAY 12: Alien Agent: The CHUD website is reporting that Dolph Lundgren is working on a new film. Likely another 'B' movie. The film, 'Alien Agent',  is being produced by... Maurice Smith and filming will be done in Canada this summer. What you might not have known about Lundgren... Smith said he specifically chose well-known action star Dolph Lundgren to portray the alien hero for his film, not only because of his black belt proficiency but also for his 'scientific interest regarding the controversial subject matter'. Lundgren had attended the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm Sweden, received a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sydney, Australia and awarded a Fullbright Scholorship to MIT.  Pretty fucking impressive Dolph.  (did you know that Buck Rogers star... Gil Gerard is a nuclear physicist)

MAY 12: Stargate SG-1 Feature Rumor: Fox Sydney Employee are hearing rumors that MGM is interested in shooting the 'Stargate SG-1' sequel there.

MAY 12: the Tuxedo: Jackie Chan is in negotiations to star in the upcoming project 'The Tuxedo'. An action thriller about an ordinary man who becomes an unstoppable force when he finds and begins wearing a high-tech tuxedo developed by the government for its clandestine operatives. The film will be directed by commercial director Kevin Donovan in his feature directorial debut. Tuxedo is from writers Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay who wrote the story in 1999.

MAY 12: Angel to Stay: Rumors from Yahoo.news is that the WB is likely to keep the Buffy spin-off series 'Angel' for next season. More than wanting the series I think the WB is just keeping it rather than letting UPN get their hands on the pair.

MAY 12: Dark Angel & Lone Gunmen: Electronic Media is reporting that Dark Angel might be moving from its Tuesday @ 9pm time slot to the Friday @ 9pm slot. This move could signal the cancellation of Chris Carters spin-off series 'the Lone Gumen which just isn't garnering the ratings Fox had hoped for. However, if Fox cans Carters fourth series for the network will Carter resign for a ninth season of  the 'X-Files'? Rumor has it that Carter has been stringing negotiations along until he finds out the fate of his 'Lone Gunmen' series.

MAY 11: Backula's Enterprise: The new Star Trek series finally has a new Captain in Scott Backula. Paramount made the official announcement yesterday. Other cast members officially announced were... Anthony Montgomery, Linda Park, Dominic Keating, John Billingsly, Jolene Blalock, and Conner Trinneer. It appears that 'Marjorie Monaghan' has lost out on the part. Backula' character  is a physcial and intensely curious Captain with a bold personality, who has a strong sense of duty but is also a bit of a renegade. He does not trust the Vulcans, and  must deal with having one for his first officer.

MAY 11: War of the Worlds: I have received a piece storyboard from director Timothy Hines for all the fans to see. CLICK HERE for the press release and storyboards for the $42M feature film...

MAY 11: the Mummy 3: Universal might be hot for a third installment to the sequel hit, but director Stephen Sommers (deep rising) is that hot for a third film. Said Sommers to the Hollywood Reporter about a third film, "Not in the near future, that's for sure. I've had a blast, but it's time to do something different. And, the studio hasn't asked me either." Sommers also believes you can blow it when you throw out the sequels to quickly.

MAY 11: Special Unit 2 Oozes Ratings: The new UPN mid-season series 'Special Unit 2' again scored in the ratings beating out the WB's Charmed, Buffy, Angel, and also beat out the pathetic animated series the Oblongs.

MAY 11: Murder Mysteries: Dimension Films has hired David Goyer to write and direct the supernatural thriller 'Murder Mysteries'. The film is based on the on a short story of the same name from comic writer Neil Gaymen.  The story is set in heaven during the final days of Earth's creation and follows the Angel of Vengeance as he seeks to solve the first murder ever committed. Goyer could have gotten a better one than this to write and direct.

MAY 11: Rush Hour 2: There may be frenzy building toward the heavily anticipated film 'Rush Hour 2' as it moves towards its early August release date. CLICK HERE to see the images of the Las Vegas 'Desert Inn' conversion to the Red Dragon Casino for the Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan sequel.

MAY 11: Time Machine: The troubled production of 'The Time Machine' being remade by 'Simon Wells'  has some trouble as Wells, diagnosed with severe fatigue, has been replaced by director Gore Verbinski. He will oversee the remaining 18 days of principal photography. Verbinski will complete the filming and then hand the picture back over the Wells, who is planning to oversee all post-production work. Wells has done several animated films which includes Dreamworks 'the Prince of Egypt'.

MAY 10: Stupid Title: The Matrix sequel now has an official title. It sounds totally lame to me, but here it is... 'The Matrix Reloaded'. Lame. Why not something like...'Matrix Reload' or 'Neo's Revenge'

MAY 10: MIB 2: Filming is scheduled to begin production on June 4 and wrap Oct 4. If the strike happens then production will stop until it is settled.

MAY 10: New Mummy: Looks like James Cameron is ready to take on the mummy craze. Cameron and author Anne Rice are teaming up for her book 'Ramses the Damned' or 'the Mummy Returns'. The project has been in development for years, but it finally looks like the project will get a scribe. It is likely the latest installment of 'the Mummy' from Stephen Sommers hit a vein. Cameron may actually be planning to helm the project that is slated for a 2002 start date. Lighthouse Entertainment will produce the project with 20th Century Fox.

MAY 10: Seven Days Fate: TVinsite has posted a rumor that UPN will cancel its two year series 'Seven Days' despite Paramount's desire to keep the show on the air.

MAY 10: Roswell: It appears that Roswell will have another season no matter what the WB does. UPN is waiting in the wings to scoop up the series if the WB doesn't want it. This is likely what will kill Seven Days if UPN gets it.

MAY 10: Spaceless: The once proposed animated movie from FOX has now been looking to take the film as a live action feature. The project was dropped after Fox's 'Titan A.E.' tanked at the box office and Fox closed down its animation studio. This is a rumor that was reported to Coming Attractions. Jeff Vintar will be doing a rewrite of his animated script into one for a live action feature.

MAY 10: Iron Fist: Comics2Film is reporting that the script for Iron Fist is complete, as Marvel and Artisan are... enthusiastic about it. The said script will not be polished by scribe John Turman.

MAY 10: Mummy 3: Ihmotep, played by Arnold Vosloo (steel dawn), confirmed on the Big Breakfast that there will likely be a another Mummy sequel. Other than the Scorpion King. Rachael Wiesz of course will not be doing the third film. She has moved beyond such things. (dark horizons)

MAY 10: X-Files: The series finale will have former Star Trek the Next Generation's 'Tasha Yar', Denise Crosby appear. On a season nine note, Gillian Anderson is once again bitching about another season and being under contract for it, when she just wants to quit again. Bitch and Moan, it's all this lady every does anymore. How many opportunities do you get to be the star or costar of your own series? God lady... shut the f&@# up and do your job for a change without complaining.

MAY 10: Bakula In: Trekweb is reporting that Scott Backula (quantum leap) has been confirmed for the new Paramount series Enterprise, the fifth Trek installment. UPN is scheduled to meet with advertisers this week to discuss its upcoming season and expect some kind of confirmation then. Production is scheduled to begin May 14 in Los Angeles on the pilot. Enterprise will also air Wednesdays like Voyager, but at 8pm versus Voyager's 9pm time slot. By next season Roswell could be airing with Enterprise, as Buffy & Angel dominate the Tuesday night line-up. Could happen.

MAY 10: Another Trek Game: Playstation 2 will be getting a new Star Trek game, which will be titled... 'Star Trek: Shattered Universe'. The game is being developed by Interplay Entertainment and will feature the USS Excelsior. Have you noticed that Star Trek games get about as much effort put into them as Paramount puts into the Star Trek films budget wise? Most of the games aren't very good and all the Star Trek films, except the first one, were done on shoe string budgets. Sucks...

MAY 9: War of the Worlds Feature Film: There is a new version of Orson Wells work being done. This time, independent director Timothy Hines (Bug Wars) has some financial backing in the neighborhood of $42M to make a high quality film. Read The Release I received from Mr. Hines and a piece of beautiful concept art for the picture. CLICK HERE. Production is set to begin soon.

MAY 9: Spiderman: Though there have been problems and difficulties with the production 'Spiderman' is actually ahead of schedule.

MAY 9: J.A.G. Renewed: CBS has picked up the fifth season series 'J.A.G.' for another two seasons (44 episodes). J.A.G. has pulled in decent numbers in each of its five seasons on CBS.  CBS agreed to pay in the high $1M range per episode. Odd when the lower rated Buffy scored so much higher per ep. But, Buffy ratings would be higher UPN or the WB had the affiliates that the big networks have. The series has averaged 13.1M viewers.

MAY 9: Say Hey Virginia: Farscape's Virginia Hey, who played Zhaan, has been cast in the proposed sci-fi pilot 'Area 23'. Area 23 is presently searching for investers.

MAY 9: Stargate SG-1: Richard Dean Anderson, the series star and executive producer, told Science Fiction Weekly that fans can expect bigger special effects and more character stories in Showtime's first run series fifth season. Every year the series budget has increased, unlike other series on the networks where budgets tend to shrink as the years pass.

MAY 9: Prowse Hospitalized: Star Wars actor and bodybuilder 'David Prowse' is back in the hospital with partial paralysis. This time they were able to find an abscess at the base of his spine. He is currently undergoing tests.

MAY 9: Marina Sirtis: Next Generation's Dianna Troi, played by none other than 'Marina Sirtis, now has her own website. You can check out her site at... http://www.marinasirtis.tv/  O.K. website... ehhh. (thanks to section31.com)

MAY 9: Relic Hunter: Relic Hunter has done well in the ratings, recently scoring a 1.6 rating. As everyone knows it comes down to advertising dollars and not just the ratings. Nothing has been announced for the series renewal yet. But with the decent ratings, and two years under its belt, the outlook is good that Relic Hunter will find itself renewed for another 22 episode season.

MAY 9: Sheena: The Gina Lee Nolin series has equaled Relic Hunter in the ratings too. I thought I had heard the series was renewed for next season, but that was nothing more than a rumor. Official word has yet to be announced on this one either.

MAY 8: Jones for 2: Despite rumors, Tommy Lee Jones will indeed be back for MIB2. Shooting begins in June in the city of New York.

MAY 8: Milano Not So Charmed?: One third of Charmed's witch sister crew, Alyssa Milano, may be replaced next season according to the 'Futon Critic'. According to the critic Milano's character is rumored to be replaced by 'Soliel Moon Frye'. That's Punky Brewster folks, after the breast reduction surgery.

MAY 8: Patrick Says No: Robert Patrick hasn't been asked, but he confirmed on the Daily Show that he would not be willing to reprise the role that made him known in Terminator 3. Patrick currently stars in the series 'The X-Files'.

MAY 8: PS2 Price Cut: Sony will cut the PlayStation 2 price by $100.oo just prior to the release of the X-Box. Price wars begins... Would this idea just make people who actually want a PS2 just wait until the price drop goes into effect?

MAY 8: the Mummy Returns Review: Read Sci-Fi 2000's review of the new sequel to last years mega-hit. Read It Now. Don't believe any crap ya read, this was an awesome flick.

MAY 8: Area 23: 'Area 23' is the Pentagon sanctioned program that houses the Pys Ops Team - an elite strike team of paranormals. Individuals gifted with extraordinary powers of the mind. They go where our government cannot and will not venture. Protecting national interests at home and abroad, dealing with the growing terrorists threats. (paranormal and otherwise). This a pilot movie/series being shopped around by Mindshadow Entertainment.

MAY 7: X-Files Trouble: Chris Carter continues to pussy foot around with the fans with, "I still haven't made a decision yet on whether there will be a ninth season yet." But he doesn't forsee an reason why the show wouldn't return.  Carter is holding his new series Lone Gunmen against Fox on his return. If Fox should cancel the series he would likely not return for a ninth X-Files, and if it's renewed he is on board for another season of both.

MAY 7: WB on May 15: The WB Network is scheduled to announce their official fall line-up on May 15. Who will be on it. The biggest questions burning in the fans minds are the fates of 'Angel' and 'Roswell'. Angel would already have a new home should the axe fall. Roswell, could have a new home as well should it suffer Angels fate. Kinda like a soap opera. 8 more days. (darkhorizons.com is reporting the schedule will be out tomorrow.)

MAY 7: Mummy Money: The Mummy Returns hauled in an amazing $70.1M for the Friday thru Sunday Weekend, beating the record set by Star Wars: Episode One's record $64.8M. Way to go! ``The Mummy Returns'' more than doubled the combined grosses of the other films in the top 12, accounting for 69 percent of ticket sales.

MAY 7: Roswell is UPN's Toy: Over at E online, 'Watch With Wanda' is also reporting sources that have confirmed that UPN already has picked up the WB's cancelled 'Roswell' series. Reportedly a 'Little Birdy' close to the network told them so.

MAY 7: Angel on UPN too?: In the same article from above the site also hints that the WB has dumped 'both' vamp series, which would lead one to believe that the network has decided to dump Angel since they lost 'Buffy'. If true, this is likely the final straw for the struggling 'Seven Days' with UPN getting 'Buffy', 'Angel' and 'Roswell' in the last month. Man!

MAY 7Batman Year One: Despite George Clooney's denial about being Batman in the next film, the once ER star still has one more spin on his original contract as the Caped Crusader with Warner Brothers. So it matters little what the Cloon Man wants. If Warner wants him in the cape, he's the man, he's... Batman.

MAY 7: Outermax: Just ten more days till the scheduled premiere of Cimemax's new channel comes on line. It's new 'Outermax' will be their Sci-Fi Channel. MAY 6: Killer Klowns: August 28 is the DVD street date for one of the most famous 'B' movies ever made. The DVD will be a special edition no less with two deleted scenes, a making of documentary, photo gallery, storyboard photos, and the theatrical trailer. What is even better is the $14.95 street price. Costco and Sams Club may have them at $9.99. This is a wonderful movie. Clowns were never this scary.

MAY 6: Voyager Finale: We are less than three weeks away from the Star Trek: Voyager Finale, 'Endgame'. Section 31.com has some more spoilers from the final two-hour telefilm. As the episode opens in the future we will get to see the seven year Lt. Harry Kim as a Captain and Doctor will be married to a woman name Lana. After seven years of wonder what name the good doctor could come up with we get... Joe. (disappointing)  Seven of Nine is married to Chakotay, but died in his arms in the Delta Quadrant. He is also dead now in the future. It will take two Janeway's to get the ship home with Seven alive and completely defeat the Borg Queen. Read the complete spoiler page at section31.com

MAY 6: Baretta: The wife of Tony Blake, who starred in the 70's series 'Baretta' was shot and killed in the couples car Friday night at a restaurant after Mr. Blake went back into the restaurant to recover an item left inside. She was shot in the head. Blake was questioned as a witness, but is still being investigated as to what was left in the restaurant and how long he was gone from the car.

MAY 6: Roswell CDR: Two Roswell CDR Labels have been added to the site per the request of 'Acid', who needs one for his collection. Anyone else doing Roswell, here ya go.

MAY 6: AOL Bans the Bunny: Believe it or not, AOL/Time Warner banned 12 Bugs Bunny cartoons from their 'June Bugs' event this summer. These cartoons were deemed 'sensitive'. Again it comes down to... stereotypes and what isn't appropriate. Again we sweep something under the carpet as if it isn't there. I grew up on Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, and so on. It didn't make me violent, nor did it make me a racist or base a race on what a cartoon poked fun at. You can't go around pretending things never happen. You can't hide your head in the sand.

MAY 6: Goonies 2: Richard Donner has announced that a script is underway for a sequel to the hit movie 'Goonies' with a title song from Cindy Lauper. While Donner is working towards doing a sequel, he doesn't believe he will direct the project. It is said it will be a mix of the original Goonies with a new set of youngsters. Do you ever wonder what happened to 'Chunk'? We've never heard from the ice cream loving kid since. Last heard 'Chunk' played by Jeff B. Cohen had graduated from U. C. Berkley where he was class president. And a rumor that he is working with computers in Silicon Valley.

MAY 6: Already Dead: What genre shows have died already? Here is a list of what I have heard... Queen of Swords, Freedom, Level Nine, All Souls, Voyager (ending), Xena (ending), Cleopatra 2525, Gary & Mike, the PJ's, and  Freakylinks, Likely to depart... Jules Verne and the Fugitive.  Bubble shows... Angel (UPN will take), Roswell (UPN might pick up), Seven Days, Jules Verne, Relic Hunter, Dark Angel, and  Black Scorpion (though 44 more eps are scheduled for production),

MAY 6: Renewed Shows: Andromeda, Stargate SG-1, The Beastmaster, the Lost World, King of the Hill, Simpsons (two more seasons), Earth Final Conflict, First Wave ( but could fold), Futurama, the Immortal,  and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (44 eps on UPN). Also likely to see next season is the X-Files, and Charmed.

MAY 6: Fantastic Four: Payton Reed has been tapped to direct Marvels long, long, long anticipated feature film 'the Fantastic Four'. Three drafts for the film have already been done, and producer Chris Columbus is in search of a fourth draft. Reports last year were that the script they liked would have cost over $300M to make with the special effects needed, and script rewrites were being done in order to make changes that would bring the cost of doing the film into the $80 to $100M range. Fox has had the rights since 1992, and feel now that the X-Men has proven successful it is time for 'the Fantastic Four'.

MAY 5: Dark Angel: The fate of the Sci-Fi Channels 'First Wave' might be up in the air, but series star Sabastian Spense is keeping busy with a guest appearance on Fox's 'Dark Angel'. He will appear in the May 8 episode 'Hit A Sista Back' at 9pm.

MAY 5: Enterprise: The announcement could come anytime now on the new Star Trek series from Paramount, as the writers & producers strike seems a thing of the past.

MAY 5: NO STRIKE!!!: Before it began the strike ended as the writers & producers agreed to a tentative agreement that will earn them around $41M over the next three years. Now projects that were shutting down will be gearing back up. And next season episodes, should be right on schedule. Of course nothing is set in stone yet. The new contract still must be ratified (accepted) by the union members.

MAY 5: Austin Powers 3: Director Jay Roach has been signed to helm 'Austin Powers 3'.

MAY 5: 28 Days Later: British director Danny Boyle has been tapped to direct the sci-fi pictures '28 Days Later' about a group of Londoners who survive a deadly virus that has wiped out the rest of the world. The picture has a budget of $15M and will be told by unfamiliar faces. '28 Days Later' was written by 'Beaches' Alex Garland. (Man, that was a stupid picture)

MAY 5: Elvira Quiting: The queen of horror, Elvira, will call it quits after her next flick 'Elvira's Haunted Hills'. Elvira is played by actress 'Cassandra Peterson'. Haunted Hills is a parody of Roger Corman horror movies, and was filmed in Romania to help cut costs. Peterson told E online it's a cheap, cheap, cheap film.

MAY 4: Special Unit 2: The new series 'Special Unit' two has done extremely well in its short run gaining a 2.4 rating. Those ratings were better that week than Buffy, Angel, and Charmed. UPN may have a winner with this one. These ratings are better than third year series 'Seven Days' has gotten on its best days, and equal to Voyagers normal ratings.

MAY 4: the Talisman TV: Peter Straub and Steve King's 'The Talisman' will be getting a TV treatment as a four hour mini-series. It has taken 18 years for this book to make it this far, when now, all King has to do is give a story a title and people are flocking in for the rights to it.

MAY 4: Effects Rangers: The new Sci-Fi Channel pilot movie has a new SFX house. Gajdecki Visual Effects, who did the effects for Total Recall 2070, Stargate SG-1 and the TekWar series will do the work. The Canadian based SFX house provides full-effects and includes a library of stock effects, a model shop, a motion control camera package and they use Silicon Graphics workstations for their compositing and animation. It is likely, though unknown, that Gajdecki would do the effects for the series as well.

MAY 4: Iron Fist: Avi Arad told the comic continuum that the director for the 'Ray Park' project... 'Iron Fist' should be announced soon.

MAY 4: Ring Game: Lord of the Rings (Tolkien Enterprises) has signed an exclusive deal with Vivendi Universal Publishing  to develop games based on J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Hobbit' and 'Lord of the Rings' books. V.U.'s Publishing studio 'Sierra' will develop and release  several games over the next 8 years of the contract. And... don't forget, the first film of the trilogy 'Fellowship of the Rings' is due in theatres on Dec 19.

MAY 4: Sub-Mariner: The Marvel Comics project 'Sub-Mariner' is getting the feature film treatment, but it is still stuck in development. Sub-Mariner is a character similar to DC Comics Aquaman. Only Prince Namor isn't a wimp like Aquaman... just kidding. Both are unique characters that couldn't hold a candle to 'Waterworld's Ulysses.

MAY 4: Matrix gets exclusive on X-Box: Interplay received $5M from Microsoft for a six month exclusive deal for upcoming Matrix Game, based on the mega-hit movie. The Matrix game will also feature online play and more extra features, but only for the X-Box units. The extras include fight choreography, more music soundtracks from the actual composer and have more vehicles, weapons and video.  Interplay is spending and additional $500K to develop online features also exclusive to X-Box users. (IGN)

MAY 4: 61: This is not a genre movie, but a sports movie (actually a great drama) that was incredible for HBO and directed by Billy Chrystal. It has to be one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Barry Pepper (the Green Mile/Saving Private Ryan) and Thomas Jane (Deep Blue Sea) were awesome. Even Anthony Michael Hall (the dead zone) as Whitey Ford was good. It's the story of Roger Maris' 61 home run season and his great relationship with Mickey Mantle and the New York fans. You have got to see this movie, and if you don't have HBO then get someone to record it for you.

MAY 4: Dragon*Con Exclusive: Director of fan relations, Steve Sansweet, of Lucasfilm ltd will be unvail a new sneak preview of Star Wars Episode II at the upcoming Dragon*Con convention on August 31 to September 3. The sneak preview will have footage that will only be shown there. If your a fanatic of the Star Wars Legacy you'd better make plans to get there.

MAY 4: ABC Pulls Sabrina Stunt: In a move to take a punch at Sabrina, who moved from ABC to the WB, they have scheduled their two hour repeat movie 'Sabrina Down Under' against a two episode back to back special of Sabrina on the WB on the same night and time, Friday, May 25. The two Sabrina episodes will air in the time slots normally held by Buffy and Angel. Insiders figure that Buffy and Angel will be moving into much less desirable time slots. After the special, will be a new Tuesday night movie that will last at least three weeks with 'Breakfast Club', 'Ferris Buellers Day Off' and 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' continuing to fill the Buffy/Angel slots.

MAY 4: TNN Spends $$$: In another bold move to get away from the Nashville background, TNN  (The National Network) went out and spent $20M on the rights to 66 classic films from Warner Bros. which include, 'The Towering Inferno', 'Oh God', 'Young Guns' and 'The Postman Always Rings Twice'.  Last month TNN dumped millions for 43 titles from Viacom. Some of those titles were 'Crocodile Dundee', 'Godfather', 'Godfather 2', and 'Airplane'.  TNN late last year won the bidding war on the Star Trek franchise package at over $220M.

MAY 4: No Buffy Ad: With Buffy moving to UPN in the fall, the WB has pulled all advertising slated for the season five finale. In a bold move UPN has stepped forward and will run ads for the Buffy finale on the WB. The WB even went so far as to announced Tuesday after Buffy, that there were only 3 episodes until the SERIES FINALE as if the show was ending rather than moving to another network. This is one of the most childish moves by a network in a while. This fledgling network is still quite the baby.

MAY 3: Green Arrow Feature: Don't plan on this one coming to fruition to quickly. There isn't even a first draft script yet though one is in the planning, possibly by Kevin Smith, who brought the character back from the forgotten in DC Comics.

MAY 3: Roswell AICN Report: This is not good news... AICN is reporting that within two weeks the WB is expected to CAN Roswell despite the fan support. Media buyers have been emailing AICN suggesting that Fox (Roswell's producer) has already gotten unofficial word that the WB will definitely NOT renew Roswell for next season. Smallville looks poised for its timeslot.

MAY 3: I Am T'Pau?: With production so close to starting the two lead roles remain unfilled with Backula yet to sign, and the female Vulcan first officer still being hunted. Section 31.com has some good news that once again B5/Rescue 77/Space Rangers actress, Marjorie Monaghan said this past weekend that she is still hoping to land the role of  Sub-Commander T'Pau.  Paramount had issued a casting call for the role, and may not have found a suitable actress for the part. Monaghan will not know until the end of this week if she has the part or not.

MAY 3: Seven Days: I was sent an email that made me think some of you might have misunderstood the earlier posted comments about the return of 'Seven Days' on UPN. The earlier comments concern Seven Days return for Next season and NOT its return next Tuesday at 8pm to complete the airing of this seasons episodes. If your a Seven Days fan like myself, let's keep the fingers crossed for next season. My apologies to anyone who might have taken what was posted in the wrong context.

MAY 3: Invisible Man: The syndicated rating for the Sci-Fi Channel's second year series 'the Invisible Man' are doing extremely well. Ratings for the series are a 2.1 share which is near top genre series Xena and Andromeda at 2.6 and Stargate SG-1 with 2.8. Sci-Fi Channel ratings for the series are doing better since teaming up on Friday nights with the channels number one series Farscape.

MAY 3: Jason X: AICN is reporting that Jason X now has a release date of October 12.

MAY 3: Roswell Chances: With the WB loosing Buffy the Vampire Slayer to UPN it may have increased the chances for a third Roswell season. The WB is minus a trademark show, and now has freed up extra cash, both of which may be favorable for keeping 'Roswell' in the line-up for at least one more season. And should the WB decide to can 'Angel' washing their hands of the franchise, the better for Roswell too.  I wonder if UPN might be interested in picking up Roswell if the WB passes on the series?

MAY 3: Goyer, a  Busy Man: Genre writer David Goyer is a busy camper when it comes to writing gigs these days. So much so, that he recently passed on penning the upcoming Marvel Comics feature, 'Werewolf by Night' in development at Dimension films. They are currently in search of a new writer. Heaven forbid a NEW writer be given a chance to come up with something fresh. Werewolf by Night tells the story of a boy who learns on his 18th birthday that he shares the family curse of becoming a werewolf during the full moon.

MAY 3: No Bat for Clooney: George Clooney has debunked the stupid rumor reported from Ain't It Cool News that he was returning as the caped crusader for another stint as Batman. AICN later retracted the rumor before Clooney issued the statement. 'He ain't no Batman.' Yeah, right.

MAY 3: Napster's Slow Death: Napster's downloads have dropped by 36% for the month of April. With the new rules put in place for the music download site things will only get worse. There is no way they can get any better for the company. Don't worry though 1.6B files were still traded on the site.

MAY 3: Freakylinks Rides Again: The last four unaired episodes of Fox's 'Freakylinks' will finally air starting June 1st. It returns to its Friday night at 9pm time slot. And no, you can't bring the series back by showing your fan support now. The series is apparently toast. The online petition to resurrect the series on has/had 1000 signatures on it.

MAY 3: More VideoCD Fronts: I have added VideoCD front covers for 'The District', 'Titans', and 'Will & Grace'. There are over 50 VideoCD pieces of material on site now in Cover Labels, Back Inserts, and CDR labels. All are free downloads. You can see all the material in the VideoCD area.

MAY 3: Sexiest Geek?: How do those two words go together? Will they do for now. Chase Masterson, DS9's dabo girl, will host 'the Sexiest Geek Alive' contest at the upcoming Braodband Year 2001 Conference on June 21st in San Jose, California. Steve Urkle rides again.

MAY 2: Witchblade: TNT will begin airing the new limited edition series Witchblade beginning June 5th. The time slot for the series will likely be in the 8pm time frame.

MAY 2: Max Headroom: Remember the fad series 'Max Headroom'? Well, Max and Star Trek: the original series have joined the cast of CDR Labels Page with new labels. The labels there are growing rapidly.

MAY 2: Seven of X: According to rumors at trektoday.com 'Jeri Ryan's' Voyager character 7 of 9 is likely to  have a bit part in the upcoming Star Trek X feature film. The part is said to be small, but when your dating the boss, a bone gets thrown your way once in awhile I guess.

MAY 2: USA Today Poll: In the recent poll conducted by USA Today Roswell fans showed that they want their series saved for a second season. Over 38,000 persons voted in the poll as 44% want the show back, and 29% don't care while 27% voted to not bring the series back. Also in the poll was Fox's 'Lone Gunmen' series which garnished a mere 40% return vote, but 33% thought it should be cancelled. The worst genre performer turned out to be UPN's 'Seven Days' which only 17% thought the series was worth returning and 33% believed it should be cancelled. 50% however, did care one way or another about it.

MAY 2: Lee Media Returns: the defunct 'Stan Lee Media' internet company has been saved from the bankruptcy ashes with the help of Texas venture capital firm Interfase Capital. It will take a majority interest in the online animation site. Interfasse has said it plans to 'facilitate long-term business relationships between Stan Lee Media and other Interfase Capital portfolio companies.

MAY 2: Wonder Woman: Now we've gone from the WWF's Chyna being in the running to 'Sandra Bullock' being interested in the role. Joel Silver's producing partner says they would love to have her. But of course Bullock, expressing her interest in the role, says it depends on script and director. And... it has been along time since Bullock has done a physical role. Her last big action role was 'Demolition Man'

MAY 1: Halloween 8: Dracula 2000's Sean Patrick Thomas has signed to costar with recently reported Busta Rhymes in the upcoming 'Halloween 8' feature.

MAY 1: Buffy WB Finale: Marti Noxon, co-executive producer of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, told the Sci-Fi Wire that the current fifth season will culminate in a three episode arc that will resolve the Dawn-Glory story arc. "Because the season finale will be the 100th episode, the last three eps will be huge and very action-packed, and some momentous things will occur, but that's all I can say," Noxon said in an interview. She also told the wire that despite the increase UPN will pay per episode the show will have a smaller budget, but less so than had the series remained on the WB.

MAY 1: Wesley Fine: David Goyer has denied rumors that Blade 2 star Wesley Snipes was burned by Bright lights on the set. Goyer reported that the reports were inaccurate and Snipes wasn't involved in the incident.

MAY 1: Voyager Endgame: Possible finale spoiler from the folks at Section 31.com.

"...was told that the first part of the plot for Endgame is that it is set 25 years in the future where Tuvok has been locked up for attacking Janeway after Voyager returned to Earth after Janeway somehow managed to get her hands on transwarp coils, although none of the crew could make out how she managed to get them. Tuvok is convinced that Janeway is a ' Borg Replicant ', a new breed of Borg which can disguise themselves physically as another human. We find out that this is the truth when Janeway visits Tuvok in a Federation mental institute and tries to kill him. Tuvok kills the replicant and with the help of Janeway's personal assistant, Lt Marie Cooper, makes it to a hanger at a Federation research centre where a experimental time ship is being held. Tuvok takes the ship into space and gets read to jump back in time to undo the events to Janeway being replaced when an armada of Borg Cubes and a familiar Diamond enter Earths orbit. Narrowly escaping the Borg Fleet, Tuvok jumps back to a point in time where Voyager comes across a seemingly deserted Borg ship which is unlike one they have seen before. Upon investigation they find that it is an advanced Borg destroyer which was too powerful for its own good and vaporized all life onboard...or so it seemed Janeway orders an expedition now that the ship is dormant but when she comes across a stasis chamber onboard and foolishly opens it, she activates a Borg distress beacon. A fleet of Borg cubes emerge from transwarp conduits around the destroyer and Voyager followed by the Queen's ship.

Stuck on the ship, Janeway, Tuvok, Torres and Seven are contacted by the Queen. She gives Janeway an ultimatum : Surrender herself to the Borg or watch as the fleet destroys Voyager and them as well. Weighing up the odds and knowing that Voyager cannot defend itself against the mass of Borg Cubes, Janeway turns herself over to the Queen while the time ship speeds towards them...

(3.13.2001 update) Lou Diamond Phillips and Mary Elizabeth Winstead have been cast in role for the new drama. Coming this fall.
