April 30: X-Men Roles: Activision and Raven Software are developing a new X-Men: Legends role playing game. It will be for XBox, Playstation 2 and Gamecube. The game is expected in 2004.

April 30: Adventure Inc. Canned: Despite some quality ratings near the 2.0 mark in syndication and practically zero advertising in most markets, Adventure Inc. has been canceled. It was a decent series with decent ratings... but ratings don't matter that much these days. It's just about advertising dollars. Ask Farscape, Odyssey 5, Witchblade, Invisible Man, Special Unit 2, the Chronicles, and others.

April 30: Fox Holds Out For the Summer: Fans of  24, John Doe, and Fastlane will not get to see any repeats of the series this summer. Fox has decided to air movies and a crap load of reality series. If you're missing an episode or two for your personal collection your basically screwed.

April 30: Resident Evil 2: Milla Jovovich (Fifth Element) has officially signed on to the sequel, along with director, Alexander Witt. Paul S. Anderson, who helmed the first one, will be producing.

April 30: Enterprise: You wonder if Paramount is around watching things. You got this billion dollar franchise sitting in the toilet. Do these morons from outer space even realize that every week the Enterprise audience gets smaller? These freaks from another galaxy think that fans are saturated with Star Trek, and it's time to pull back and can the franchise for years. Wake up and smell the shit you live in, you friggin' morons... look no further than the two waste paychecks you pay to keep the franchise fresh and interesting. Why don't you shove your thousand dollar loafers up Braga and Berman's asses and kick the fucks out the door. Enterprise isn't boring, or even suffering from bad acting. It poor writing and miss-management. I've been a fan since 1969, and I don't care if I watch the show or not. Hello? What are they at Paramount... idiot savants, without the savant. Enterprise is worse than Farscape, Special Unit 2, Odyssey 5, the Chronicle, The Invisible Man - they're gone.

April 30: Chewie, is That You: Peter Mayhew has confirmed that Chewbacca will make an appearance in the Star Wars: Episode III. He is being used as one piece of the puzzle tying the six films together.

April 30: Elliot Stays With JAG: JAG star David James Elliot has signed a new deal with CBS for one more season of JAG - it's ninth. The actor will earn $300,000 per episode. Elliot is one of the few actors who has not taken advantage of his acting skills and looks to taken on other roles on television and film. He seems content to stay with the one series.

April 30: Phantom: Director Joel Shumaker has offered the lead role in Phantom of the Opera to Scottish born actor Gerard Butler. The female lead "Christina" comes down to Anne Hathaway and Emmy Rossum

April 30: 80 Days: Jackie Chan's "Around the World in 80 Days" has added some cameos. They include John Cleese and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

April 30: Indiana Jones: The Digital Bits website has reported that when Paramount releases the Indiana Jones boxed set, that will be the only way you can get it. The three films will not be released individually. There's no official word on when the films will be released.

April 30: The Howling: A Special Edition DVD of The Howling is slated to hit retail stores on August 26th. The feature film has spawn a slew of direct to video sequels. The special effects in the film are awesome.

April 30: The Punisher: Superhero Hype.com has a great picture of actor Thomas Jane in costume as the Marvel comics character. He looks good, but Howie Long would have looked awesome.

April 29: Adventure Inc. Death: Jesse Nilsson, star of the syndicated TV show Adventure, Inc., died of heart failure on April 26 at his parents' home in North York, Ontario, Canada, the Toronto National Post newspaper reported. He was 25. The young actor had suffered from Pneumonia two weeks prior to his death. Nilsson starred as Gabriel Patterson in Adventure, Inc., produced by Fireworks Entertainment and Tribune Entertainment. The show has not been picked up for a second year yet.

April 29: Angel 5: AICN has the scoop that the WB has greenlit the fifth season of Angel. There will be many changes, which make the series look more like Buffy with all the people coming over including many writers from Buffy and Firefly.

April 29: Buffy Won't Die: UPN has apparently asking Australian actress Valance to replace Buffy in the long running series. She is interested and negotiations are continuing.

April 24: Angel Changes to Buffy: Josh Whedon just can't let the Buffy cast move on to other stuff. Every week we're hearing so and so doesn't die and their left wide open to come to Angel. Jesus, let Angel be its own series not some Buffy show named Angel. 4

April 24: Enterprise Trouble: Rumor has it that CBS is pressuring Paramount and UPN to cancel Enterprises third season and shelve the Star Trek franchise for a few years at least. Rick Berman and Brannon Braga have crammed the same shit down the fans throats with Next Generation, Voyager and now Enterprise. While being promised free blood, we got stale bread. These guys should have the heads handed to them in a hand basket for what they have done to the franchise. The Fucks!

April 24: Alien 5: Sigourney Weaver is once again talking about doing a new Alien film again. If Ridley Scott and James Cameron decide to team up for another Alien feature it is time to leave Sigourney Weaver behind and move on.

Werewolf centers on a mysterious bluesman (DMX) whose mission is to rid the Earth of werewolves, the last of whom live among the rich, glamorous and drug-addicted in the Hollywood Hills.

April 24: No More Picard: Patrick Stewart again tells the tabloids he won't be playing Captain Picard again. Hey, nice of the guy to step forward with that after the franchise is in the dumps and Viacom is ready to shelve the franchise. What a guy... thank Stew, big of you. Maybe someone should take Braga, Berman and Stewart into a dark alley and beat the hell out of all three of them.

April 24: Farscape Joins Dead Zone: Farscape writer Mike Cassutt has joined the writing staff of USA's "The Dead Zone".

April 24: Lost Dead Zone Episode: The scifi channel was to have aired the missing Dead Zone episode "The Hunt For Osama". Now that appears to be off again. It is possible the episode, now titled "The Hunt", might hit DVD if USA does not air the episode.

April 24: Black Sash BOMBS:  The new WB series the Black Sash is doing dismally in the ratings and will not be airing in during the upcoming SWEEPS.

April 24: Angel Looking Good: The past several weeks Angel has been making it known that it's ready to be renewed. It latest ratings 4.1 were great, but below the norm for its 2000/2001 season. Angel has also been able to increase its lead-in audience. May 12th, will likely be the day the WB decides the shows fate.

April 24: The Flash: Remember the 90's television series "THE FLASH"? The series is being considered by Warner Brothers for a series DVD boxed set. The Flash starred John Wesley Shipe. The series was surround by a true comic book feel, great looking costume, decent acting and great special effects. Also being planned by Warner is Lois and Clark, Smallville, and the Dukes of Hazzard. Coming soon from Warner is Le Femme Nakita, Southpark, and season two of Babylon 5.

April 24: S.W.A.T.: The 70's hit television series S.W.A.T. is coming to DVD in boxed sets along with Charlie's Angels.

Comics adaptation of Constantine: Hellblazer. Lauren Shuler Donner is producing and thinks Reeves in hot in the role. The film is scheduled for a summer 2004 release, and will be helmed by first-timer Francis Lawrence. (Zap2it.com)

April 19: More CSI Miami: A&E beat out TNN for repeat rights to C.S.I. Miami beginning in 2004, as part of their prime time line-up. The cable network will pay $1.025 million per episode for the drama which will air once-a-week starting fall 2004 and then five-times-a-week beginning in fall 2006. "Miami" will join recent acquisitions "Crossing Jordan" and "Third Watch," both of which began cable runs on the channel earlier this season. (futon critic)

April 19: Ghost Rider: The studio wants Mark Steven Johnson to pen the script from scratch. Fans can expect the film to be light on the violence side so that kiddies can take in the film.  Nicolas Cage is still slated to star in the newest take on the character. (Scott Strout)

April 19: Texas Chainsaw Trouble: The stupid remake is having some major shooting problems, with huge reshoots going on. Enough to push the film back from October to January 2004. A month were expected trash films are generally released.

April 19: The League: The is reportedly the new title for The League of Extraordinary Gentleman. The studio thought the title to long for the public to remember. Yeah, were stupid. The release date has also been pushed back one to two months... is this a flop waiting to happen? The previews so far have looked outstanding.

April 19: Crowe's Prenups Russell Crowe has prenups with the new wife. If she stays with him three years she earns $15 million, and he will set up a trust fund of $3 million for each child they have should they get divorced. Should they split the lady of the manor gets to keep it ($8.25M), while Crowe gets his 800 acre ranch.

April 19: Spike TV: That is TNN's new name, "Spike TV". The network, which is already male dominated, has made it official that it is going to be a male oriented network. The networks ratings are down 35%. Rather than a name change do you think it might be something else like that Damn black bar across the television screen? Hello, that sucks people.

April 19: Michael Moore: He is a fucking Shit-Hole scumbag, jerk-off ass-hole.

April 19: Ford Done: Is Harrison Ford falling by the waste side like box office hero's Sly Stallone and Arnold Schwartzenegger? His latest films haven't done well at the box office and his latest film with Josh Harnett, "Hollywood Homicide" has flopped with test audiences. So much so that the producers have gone back to do massive reshoots.

April 19: Brothers Grimm: Terry Gilliam will be coming over from Good Omens to helm the feature Brothers Grimm.

April 19: Electra: Jennifer Garners solo film "Electra" has finally picked up its writers. Stu Zicherman and Raven Metzer will team up to pen the script. They recently completed a well received draft to Marvel's "Deathlok".

April 19: Sabrina Done: The stupid and stale series Sabrina, the Teenage Witch finally comes to a close after its 7th season. This one went about two seasons to long.

April 19: W&G 2005: NBC is nearly complete with a deal to keep Will and Grace on the air through the 2004/2005 season. The four actors will receive about $400,000 per half-hour episode or $8.8 million per season. Yeah, that's a few dollars.

April 19: Hunter Bombs: The recent televised Hunter movie had its ratings drop 17% from the first film. It might have helped if NBC had actually advertised the friggin telefilm just a little bit. I wanted to see the damn thing and didn't even know it was being broadcast. Shit!

April 15: More Dead Zone: USA Network has ordered six additional episodes of its original series "The Dead Zone" to air this summer. This is considered a continuation of the second season, and is scheduled to begin airing Sunday July 6th. While no decision has been made on a third season, the unaired episode "The Hunt For Osama" will be airing airing on the Sci-Fi Channel. The episode was originally pulled for sensitive content. Apparently USA still doesn't want to air the episode, but its sister network can. (trekweb.com)

April 15: Wolverine: Producers of the X-Men are already planning a Wolverine spin-off feature. Unfortunately producer Lauren Donner wants the villain to be Magneto. Is this guy going to be the villain in every movie featuring the X-Men? Shit, come up with something new for crying out loud. Jackman doesn't know anything about a Wolverine feature, but he's there if they do one.

April 15: Invisible Dick:  The Invisible Man star Vincent Ventresca has landed the lead role in UPN's series pilot "Vegas Dick" according to the futon critic.

April 15: Tremors Gets Bombed: The new series Tremors is taking a triple back-flip dive. After stellar ratings its opening week, fans have learned how dumb the series is. The shows audience has dropped off 35% in its second week. Imagine loosing Farscape, Invisible Man, and The Chronicle for this. Way to go Sci-Fi.

April 15: Scorpion King: Kelly Hu tells Zap2It.com that if there was a second Scorpion King feature it would have happened already. King made $90 million at the office, but cost $60 million to make. What the hell did they spend $60 million on? Jeez.

April 15: Sci-Fi Fans Scary: It almost appears that the people watching the Sci-Fi Channel are questionable as genre fans. My reason is how well the new series "Scare Tactics" has done averaging about a 1.4 rating since it's premiere. I watched one episode and was amazed this could be on television it was so stupid.

April 14: Final Cut: Comedian Robin Williams will be starring in the Sci-Fi feature Final Cut for Lion's Gate. He will play a man who lives in a world where peoples lives are recorded on an implant chip.

April 14: Dead or Alive: The video game is coming to the big screen in a $30 million feature. The babe (box office flop) film will premiere in theaters in 2004. Like Resident Evil, Impact Pictures promises the film to be true to the video game. The story will center on four female characters from the game invited to fight in a tournament. "The four voluptuous girls in the movie are invited by Fame Douglas to partake in the DEAD OR ALIVE world fighting tournament on an exotic island.

TiVo staffers announced the rollout of version 4.0, which will be sent to Series2 subscribers over the next several weeks. Although the Home Media Option is only available after paying a one-time fee of $99, Series2 owners can still reap the enhancements of version 4.0 without shelling out for the premium service. 4.0 includes new "Now Playing Options" for sorting recorded programs and the ability to quickly jump through long lists using the Advance button.

April 14: Farscape Note: While the series was canceled by the Sci-Fi Channel, the Farscape section of their website at scifi.com were among the top areas visited during the month of March.

April 14: Real Steel: Remember the B film, Robot Jox? I do, and apparently Dreamworks does. They have purchased the rights to Real Steel. It is set in the futuristic world of robot fighting where humans create and promote 2,000 pound humanoid robots that duke it out in a boxing ring with hopes of making it to the robot boxing championships.

April 14: Starsky & Hutch: Carmen Electra is negotiating to play a role in the upcoming Starsky and Hutch film set to star Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. Ben Stiller... A Box Office flop waiting to happen.  S&H as a comedy sucks.

The original film was based on the classic video game, with Van Damme in the lead role and Raul Julia playing the film's main villain. It's not yet known whether "Streetfighter 2" will be filmed in Australia - as the first one was - but it is projected that it'll get a theatrical release.

Back-to-back episodes of the half-hour series averaged a solid 1.5 household rating with 2.16 million total viewers. Scare Tactics' delivery among adults 18-49 was the best-ever for any premiere on Sci-Fi.

April 8: Alien 5: Man, this is the movie talk that will never die. James Cameron looks willing to throw his hat back into the franchise according to his recent interview with Jam Movies. Cameron is interested in another Aliens Project if 20th Century Fox is willing to throw out the Aliens vs Predator project.

April 8: Seven Days Returns: The UPN series which lasted three seasons (66 episodes) will begin airing on TNN April 14th. While Andromeda and Mutant X continue to fight over the number one spot in the 2.0 arena (and have the best two time-slot available), Adventure Inc. hangs tough in the 1.9 rating area. AI normally airs after the two big-boys. All three shows are produced by Tribune Ent.
