'Leprechauns',a four hour mini series will air November 7 &

AUGUST 30: Patrick
Stewart, is busy doing work with TNT this season. His voice will be
used in TNT's movie 'Animal Farm', and then will star in
TNT's 'A Christmas Carol'
AUGUST 30: Speilberg-Dreamworks
TV has produced a 20 hour miniseries, "TAKEN"
for the Sci-Fi Channel, regarding the history of alien abduction. To air in July of 2000.
AUGUST 30: Kevin
Sorbo soon to be ex-Hercules hero will portray Captain Dylan Hunt
on "Gene Roddenberry's" new series "ANDROMEDA"
previously titled "Phoenix Rising".
AUGUST 28: Confirmed
new shows for the fall include, Roswell, The
Lost World (looks cheesey), Relic Hunter, Amazon (looks good), Now and Again, Secret Agent
Man (pushed back by UPN), & the Beastmaster (will not star Marc Singer)
is syndicated. And yes there will be quite a few others. But nothing confirmed for sure
yet. At least no commercials avertising the shows.
AUGUST 28: Profiler
star Ally Walker will depart the show after the second episode this season
and be replaced by Jamie Luner (Melrose Place). Luner will be introduced in the season
premiere.
AUGUST 28: The Kingdom, a 10 hr epic, will air in February, and NBC's 4 hr
special, Jason and the Argonauts, on April 30 & May 1st.
The same night that ABC will air their Arabian Nights which
will star Jason Scott Lee and new X-Men's star Dougray Scott.
AUGUST 27: Top Nine

Recall 2: Jonathan Frakes will direct Arnold in this sequel as soon

Money Makers: SWPM $419M, Austin Powers $199M, Wild Wild West
$110M, Blair Witch $80M, The Haunting $78M, Inspector Gadget $65M, Deep Blue Sea $46M, and
Lake Placid $29M. The last two movies are better movies than many others in front of them.
Give them a chance and check them out. I enjoyed them both. If you willing to see Blair
Witch and the Haunting spend the money for these two.

Arnold Swartzenegger has sign to portray the Man of Bronze on the big
screen. Budget is said to be in the $100M range.
AUGUST 20: Computer
Chip update: The New AMD K7 is 30% faster chip speed than the
equivilent PIII. It also has a 200mhz front bus to PIII's 100mhz and has 128K on the chip
as well. The bottleneck for the K7 is the present graphics cards. The K7 has more
potential to hit the 1gb chip speed over the PIII. Nice work AMD. That should be my next
chip. Complete systems with the K7-550 for $1300. Impressive.

SciFi flick 'Time Shifters' will star Casper Van Dien & JAG's

Convention. Pressman who was in attendance told the 30,000 attendees that he has acquired
the rights to the show from Universal. The original cast will be returning. But NOT until

Paramount will be dumping middle-aged baggage and inflated salaries like Stewart's $14M

AUGUST 16: VOYAGER:
Will have 2 full length features this
season. One will involve the crew awakening an ancient war like race from hibernation.
Voyager will have to put them back. They use slug weapons and are only capable of warp 2.

the Rings: Update 2: Elijah Wood will
play "Frodo Baggins" and it is rumored Sean Astin will play "Sam
Gamgee" and Jude Law as Legolas. Anthony Hopkins turned down the role of Gandolph as
did Sean Connery. This is due to the 14 month filming schedule with no breaks. This allows
no time for more than the one movie over that time. And big name actors don't want to give
up that time.
AUGUST 16: Space
Cowboys: To star Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, and James Garner as retired pilots brought back to
active duty by NASA for an emergency space mission involving a satellite that is in
trouble. Also to star James Cromwell, and Donald Sutherland.
AUGUST 15: X-Men
update 3. Halle Barry is signed to play
"Storm". Rebecca, ex-sports illus star,
Romjin-Stamos will play the Villainess "Mystique"
and Maria Bello will play "Jean Grey".
AUGUST 15: VOYAGER:
UPN will be editing first run episodes from
44 minutes to 42 minutes for more commercials. So it won't be just for reruns as people

two sequels are go. Keanu Reeves has signed
for two sequels. Both will be filmed simultaneously with only a few months between
releases. The first sequel will include a cliffhanger.

CROW:STH update 3. Pressman has reported that Universal is giving
him a hard time getting the rights to the show. But he also feels he will have them soon.

has been reportedly purchased by the BBC for their new channel for run in

V update: Joss Whendon who penned Alien Ressurrection has turned down
20th Century Fox's offer to do 'Alien V'. He was not happy with what they did to his
script and how Alien Ressurrection turned out. He will be helping with the X-Men
script for Bryan Singer.

WOMAN: Actress Sandra Bullock is
interested in portarying the superhero on the big screen.

bought the rights for Deep Blue Sea at $15

Earth UPDATE: Forrest
Whitaker and Barry Pepper will costar with John Travolta. The film is currently shooting

with Travolta are already being discussed to conclude the book.
AUGUST: DEEP BLUE SEA
hit the theatres Wednesday, July 28. This movie is a three
out of five stars. Great action, and special effects. A few "Oh yeah, a shark could
do that." things. But overall, a very enjoyable movie. A smart shark is a dangerous
thing. Three of them is even worse! Go see this one! Just enjoy the movie and don't worry
so much about the basic storyline. Action, action, and some more action. Check out the
