NOV 30: Bruce Willis: the action/scifi star is 44 and has already had a wonderful career. Here are just a few of the former Moonlighting stars hit movies... Die Hard 1, 2, & 3, Striking Distance, Armageddon, the Fifth Element, the Last Boyscout, Death Becomes Her, Pulp Fiction, Hudson Hawk (big overseas), Twelve Monkeys, Sixth Sense and many others. Not to many other stars have a string of hits/money makers like this NOV 30: Buffy: Seth Green, as OZ, is taking a leave of absence to shoot a new dark comedy "Knockaround Guy". Insiders say the departure may be permanent. NOV 29: The Argonauts: NBC & Hallmark will present the mini-series some time next year. Jason London will play Jason in the remake of Jason and the Argonauts. Filming is set to begin as early as December. NOV 29: Van Damme in a Can: Jean Claude Van Damme, action star, was arrested and charged with drunk driving on Sept. 23. NOV 29: X-Men: The release date for the X-Men is still set for June 30, 2000. No delays have been reported. NOV 28: Old TREK, New Effects: Digital Stream recently installed new CGI in the series episode "Doomsday Machine". There were some problems with consistancies, and oversites but viewers were taken with the new effects. They are interested in doing the whole series of 79 episodes. Paramount has yet to comment. This would be a great way to release them on DVD rather than just the standard episodes. NOV 28: Brimstone Deal: The deal with SciFi channel for Brimstone is a three year deal at $40K per episode. Sci-Fi Ch. will screen the series in Dec with back to back episodes. Then the series will return early 2K as a weekly series. And... NO, the scifi channel did not purchase the rights to the show. There will not be any new shows produced by the Scifi CH. At least not yet. NOV 28: Jame Bond Series?: TV producer Prince Edwards pitched the idea to Bond producer Barbara Brocolli, head of the Bond production company. The series proposal was for 22 episodes over $1.5M per episode. The series would chronicle the early years of James Bond. Barbara Brocolli TURNED DOWN the series proposal. NOV 28: Lord of the Rings: ILM is out to provide the SFX for the trilogy due to the demand on Lucas' own fantasy trilogy. LOR is still scheduled for a Christmas 2K release date. NOV 27:GALACTICA

minute trailer. NOV 27: DIE HARD 4: Bruce Willis has reportedly signed on for a 4th installment at a mere $25M. Nothing has officially been announced. NOV 27: Indiana Jones 4: Harrison Ford is keen to return for a fourth cutting as Indiana Jones. However, you won't see it until at least 2005 due to busy shedules of Ford, Lucas, and Speilberg. Are we sure we'll be ready for a mid 60'ish Indiana Jones? NOVE 27: Ten Commandments: Cecil B. DeMille built an Empire for his 1923 film, "The Ten Commandments." Fearing others would film and epic of their own there, DeMille buried the 27-ton statues, ten story high walls with heiroglyphics, chariot lanes & avenues lined with Sphinx. The set is buried in Guadalupe, Ca 170 miles north of LA. After 60 years the set still lays buried beneath the dunes. Why Hollywood hasn't unearthed this rare treasure is anyones guess. What a tourist attraction it would be. NOV 25: Robocop:PD: Just got an email from Julian Grant letting me know that Robocop:PD hasn't been offered to any US Distributors yet, and won't be until the it is completed. NOV 25: Time Machine Remake: is in serious negotiations with Brad Silberling (City of Angels) to direct the film based on HG Wells novel. NOV 25: The Prisoner: Universal is giving Con Air Director Simon West, who loves the show, a chance to do a big screen version of the british series... the Prisoner. NOV 25: Trek Movie: RUMOR!! This rumor grapevine reports that selected members from TNG, DS9 and Voy. would be utilized, and not just the Next Gen. cast. We already know that Stewart is out due to cost and storyline rights. NOV 24: Fantasy Island: The lastest Fantasy Island cancelled after 13 episodes will be broadcasting on UK's SciFi Channel this month and begin airing season 3 of LEXX in January. NOV 24: Hercules, still Sorbo: Sorbo reports should the much-speculated Hercules theatrical release come to pass, he would be more than will to grow out the locks five inches. But NOT for any TV Movies. "Beyond the film," Sorbo says "I'm done." He thanks the fans for watching the show for almost 6 seasons. NOV 24: the ROCK: on Voyager: In February 2K WWF's "the ROCK" will play an Alien Fighting Champion who takes on Seven of Nine. NOV 24: PSI Factor: TNT has purchased the exclusive second run rights of the show and has purchased the PSI Factor Web Site. NOV 23: ST Voyager: First officer Chekotay's true self, Robert Beltran, believes the show is in a rut doing the Alien of the week premise every week. "It is time for a change" he says,"as long as it doesn't mean getting rid of my character." Wednesdays at 8pm on UPN. You decide. NOV 23: Dune Filming: the mini-series begins filming Nov 22. Cast includes mostly unknowns. Alec Newman as Paul Atredies, Muriel Baumeister as Princess Irulan and Ian McNeice as Baron Harkonnen. The six-hour mini-series is budgeted around $20. Miniscule compared to the $70 for NBC's 10th Kingdom. Dune is being financed by New Amsterdam Entertainment and Victor Television Productions. NOV 22: DR. Strange/Ironman: Angry Films Production is producing Marvel comics Dr. Strange which is now on Columbia Pictures fast track. Angry is also in on New Lines production of IRON MAN. Plus the comics Parasyte and Death. Tom Cruise and Nicolas Cage have expressed desire to portray the superhero. Angry Films is NOT interested in Marvel's "Daredevil" character. To difficult to bring out into todays culture. NOV 22: Arnold OUT!: the Swartz says "NO" to the Terminator sequels. On Nov 15 Arnold was quoted, "I have no intention of doing it except if Jim Cameron is doing the directing or the producing or the writing. Jim Cameron has to be involved in one way or another." Cameron has said he doesn't plan to be involved at all. NOV 21: Ghostbusters 3 news: Sony says NO. Dan Aykroyd has been working on a script for the sequel but Sony is not willing to shell out the $120M for the film. It wants a cheap Blair Witch type flick with large returns ($$$). Sony has no plans to pass on or even sell off the film rights to Ghostbusters. NOV 21: SW Phantom Menace on Video: NO DVD folks. VHS you ask? Possibly March or May 2000. Don't put down any money for that though. Lucas has stated that Phantom Menace will not be on DVD until after the Star Wars trilogy is release. (whenever that may be) Lucas is not embracing the DVD market at this time. Nor is Steven Speilberg. The VHS date for the movie continues to be pushed back. (IGN Mag) NOV 20: Trek Series Approved?: According to Brannon Braga Paramount has approved a new Star Trek series. TrekWeb reports that Braga spoke at the University of California this month revealing that the new Trek series has been approved. And that the new show will have almost NO technobabble and be quite contemporary (cheaper that way). It is scheduled for a January 2001 premiere. (rumor, not verified yet) NOV 20: Tenth Kindom: NBC's fantasy 10 hr. mini-series, at a cost of around $70M, had its share of problems during production. Mostly from rain. It reportedly has the potential to become a world wide hit. (they always say that don't they?) It stars Kimberly Lewis and John Laroquette who are thrown into an alternate universe. Also starring is Rutger Hauer(blade runner), Jimmy Nail, Diane Wiest and Scott Cohen. Tenth Kingdom will air on NBC Feb. 6,7,13, and 14 of 2000. NOV 20: PREY: the Sci-Fi Channel has also acquired the series PREY along with Brimstone. Prey will air early in 2K. Don't forget Dec 3 & 10, Brimstone will air four episodes each Friday night. Get those VCRs hot. NOV 20: Final Hercules: the Last episode titled "Full Circle" resolve Hercules relationships with Zeus, Hera, Ares and Iolas. It was directed by "Bruce Campbell" who happens to be starring in part of Herc's replacement series "Jack Of All Trades". It will be part of the 2 shows filling the time slot. NOV 19: Blockbuster Cinema: running Friday's at 8pm on UPN have plans for several genre movies lined up including... "Project Overkill" (aka: the $10M Man) to be aired in December. NOV 19: Young Merlin: Jane Yolen's Fantasy Novel trilogy is to be filmed by Independent Family Entertainment. NOV 19: Barclay Returns: Don't forget folks, Star Trek:TNG's Reginald Barclay returns along with Counselor Troi on Dec 1 on Voyager in an episode called "Pathfinder". Barclay is lost in the holo-deck again at starfleet headquarters trying to find a way to communicate with the crew of Voyager. NOV 18: Toy Story 2: opens Nov 25. It was originally intended as a VRO (video release only) Post production was done at Skywalker Ranch. Tom Hanks & Tim Allen again will lend their voices to Woody & Buzz. The Story was just to good not to bring it to the big screen again. Director John Lassiter (toy story $191M & a bugs life $163) is only 41. NOV 18: DVD Releases: 7th Voyage of Sinbad $29.98, the animated masterpiece Heavy Metal $27.98, and Star Trek IV $24.95... NOV 18: Episode Guides: Looking for some? EPSIODE GUIDES NOV 17: Thunderbird ar GO: Carlton television which now owns the right to the ITC series have re-digitized the 26 episode series. They offered them to broadcasters at an October trade show. Unknown if anyone was interested in them. (DVD would be good) NOV 17: Dune Casting: The six-hour mini-series (4.5 hours w/o commercials) is casting. Principal photography will take place in Tunisia & Prague. It is being done by the US Sci-Fi Channel. NOV 16: Ripley Returns: Well, Sigourney Weaver does as Gwen DeMarco. A buxom blonde in the SF Comedy "Galaxy Quest". You hardly recognize her in this role. NOV 16: Monster: The Blockbuster/UPN movie which aired Nov 12 was produced by Voyagers Mr. Paris, Robert Duncan McNeil. He has also directed 3 Voyager episodes. McNeil has some other ideas he is pitching to UPN. NOV 15: Total Recall 2070: While cancelled by Showtime after one season, that one season will now be going into syndication for local channels in January. NOV 15: UPN Movie: Recently shown Avalon: Adventures of the Abyss that aired Nov 5 was intended to be a syndicated series. It was turned into a TV movie pilot for a possible UPN series. NOV 14: Alien Blood: Troma Entertainment has bought the world wide distribution rights to the British SciFi Movie. NOV 14: No More Trek?: It isn't looking good for a new Star Trek series if at all. Rumors are that the new Trek series died in the planning stages. Perhaps the powers that be are unable to bring any real new ideas to the franchise. Plus Viacom stinks when it comes to the Trek franchise. They don't really care about it one way or another. NOV 14: Dr. Bashir: DS9er Alexander Siddig will appear in this summers "Vertical Limit". he leads a rescue team up the K-2 to find trapped climbers. Actual release date as yet, unknown. NOV 13: Bradbury Recovering: Ray Bradbury 79 is recovering from a stroke he suffered Sat Nov 6 from a blood clot in his brain stem. He is temporarily paralyzed on the right side of his body. A full recovery is expected. He is currently alert and doing well. NOV 13: New Series ratings: Now and Again still kicks the ratings with a 7.6. Following closely is Futurama at 6.2. Rounding out the shows... Early Edition 5.8, X-Files opener at 5.3. Charmed 3.8, Angel 3.7, Voyager 3.5, Buffy 3.4, Roswell 3.4 and Seven Days 2.8. NOV 13: Terminator 3/4 are go: Mario Kassar & Andy Vajna of C-2 Pictures are planning to shoot 2 new Terminator movies back to back. Tedi Sarafian will pen T3 for a 2001 release and David Wilson will do th script for T4. NOV 10: Timeline Sold: Crichton's boring/expensive to make novel being offered for $0 has been taken by Paramount. Should Paramount decide not to make the movie then Crichton will get $1M. If made, he gets $15M of the gross. NOV 10: Star Trek Special: UPN will air a one hour special. The show is called "Ultimate Trek: Star Trek's greatest moments". It will take a look at the four trek series. It will be hosted by Seinfeld's Jason Alexander. NOV 9: ARNOLD: has between 7 & 9 movies in line after "End of Days". At 52 and one movie per year many of those will not get done. On his schedule are... The sixth day, Doc Savage, Terminator 3, Total Recall 2, True Lies 2, S.W.A.T., Crusade & I am Legend perhaps as well NOV 9: Brimstone Mini Marathon: SciFi channell will be running the first four episodes on Friday, Dec 3. And the next four on Friday Dec 10. Get the VCR's ready if you want the show. Very Cool. Check your area for local times and channel. NOV 9: Spawn 2 in 2K: The first draft of the movie has been approved and waiting on the next draft. This one is promised to be different. McFarlane has his hands deep in this one. Sequel will be more adult. None of the crap from the first one. It will be an "R" rating. Micheal Jai White who played Spawn in the first one is ready to return to the role. NOV 9: Screwed up FANS: Star Wars. Author of "Victor Prime", R.A. Salvatore has received death threats from enraged fans over the death of their beloved "Chewbacca". LOOK weirdos, George fucking Lucas gave the OK to knock off the hairy guy. He controls the star wars timelines and storylines. You got a beef with Chewbacca's death then take it up with God. (George Lucas). NOV 9: New Series Kicking!!!: Beastmaster 2.7, Amazon 2.0 and Relic Hunter 2.0 are doing well in syndication. Harsh Realm had a 3.7 when it was canned with FOX. Amazon creator Peter Benchley is reporting that Amazon has been picked up for the full 22 episodes. NOV 8: Andromeda: starring Kevin Sorbo has already been cleared to air in 60% of syndication in the US, with a two-year commitment by Tribune Entertainment. The premiere is planned for Autumn 2K. NOV 8: Invisible Man: SciFi Channels new series will have Rebecca Chamber of Sliders as Casey. The intelligent girlfriend of petty thief Darien, played by Vincent Bisonette will play the evil scientist. Series will also have Eddie Jones (Lois and Clark) and Paul Ben-Victor. NOV 8: Now & Again : CBS has ordered a full season of the Six Million Dollar Man type series. (Variety) Over the first five weeks the show has averaged a 7.2 share rating. NOV 8: Angel: The WB has ordered a full season of the Buffy spin-off by Joss Whedon. NOV 8: Voyager: Ratings of the sole Star Trek series are up to a 3.7 share. Now and Again is the new scifi ratings hero with a 7.2. Others are as follows, Harsh Realm 4.9, Roswell 4.9, Angel 4.8, Buffy 4.4 and Charmed 3.7 NOV 7: Star Wars EP1: Toys Suck: Toy sales for the box office hit are $200M under estimates. Pepsi/Tricon- owner of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC signed a $2B deal with George Lucas. Hasbro committed to pay Lucas $600M in royalties PLUS a 7.5% stake in the company as part of a nine year deal. Both companies are losing some serious cash from this deal. Tricon showed a 7% decrease in customers with the start of the promotion. The toys are just to expensive for parents to purchase for their children to play with states most fans about purchasing the toys and promo stuff. So, parents are buying less stuff. Duhhh. Lucas floaded the market, charged to much for the less than quality toys so no one bought them. Imagine that. NOV 6: Superman Suit: In 1938 Superman creators Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel sold the rights to DC Comics for $130. Siegel's widow & daughter now claim a 50% share in rights to the character. Paper were filed in 1997 and went into effect in April 15 of this year. Now legal laws make this possible. This effects hundreds of productions from comics to films. Any future revenue from them must be split with the Siegels. Shuster had no relatives so DC comics retains those rights. NOV 6: Superman, animated pulled: The WB has pulled plug on the new animated series which may be connected to the Siegel's action. This also brings an end to the animated adventures of Batman. And it may bring an end to any further Superman Movies. Particularly the one that was in developement with Nicolas Cage interested to play that part. May not be any Superman for some time. Will the comics continue with the Man of Steel in them? NOV 6: Lucy Lawless: she will voice herself and that of Xena in an upcoming episode of the Simpsons. NOV 6: Dragonriders of Pern: The mini-series will center on book characters Lessa, F'lar, F'nor, and Jaxom. NOV 5: Sarah Michelle Gellar: star of Buffy is set to star in a Hitchcock-like thriller "Alison". NOV 5: Witchblade on TNT: Again reports are surfacing that this long in storage for almost two years now may be on TNT's 2K schedule. Claudia Christian of Babylon 5 fame has been mentioned in the leading role for the series. NOV 5: Buffy/Angel crossovers: Joss Whedon has abandoned plans for widespread crossovers of the two shows. The first attempt was a production nightmare he says. And doesn't want to mess with it again. Not worth the headache. NOV 5: Shafted: Samuel L. Jackson has reportedly put a stop to the filming of SHAFT, after he decided the shooting script needed more work. NOV 5: The Hollow Man: Kevin Bacon & Elizabeth Shue star in the New Invisible Man feature film by Paul Verhoeven who is dire need of a big hit. He will have his production ready for a summer 2K release. NOV 4: Charlies Angels: Bill Murray has been offered the role of John Bosley. Rumors are untrue that the role of the third angel has been offered to a spice girl. NOV 4: LEXX to SciFi: BBC's L.E.X.X. will be coming to the SciFi Channel. Airing of the first 20 episodes will begin in January 2K. NOV 4: Matrix DVD: breaks all records in DVD sales with $24M NOV 3: War to the Tubes: Speilberg is producing a 13 episode series for NBC titled "Semper Fi". And Tom Hanks is producing the series "West Point" for the FOX network about a military academy in upstate New York. NOV 3: Earth, Final Conflict: Kevin Sorbo may be making a guest appearance on the show this season. NOV 3: Galactica Rights: There is trouble brewing at Universal over rights to the show. Richard Hatch is moving a head with his plans for a Galactica movie. Larson presses along with his production, scheduled to enter production early next year. Cost of his film is estimated at $45M to $50M. Hatch's epic is near the $60M mark. Universal is trying to sort out legality rights & ownership. This isn't over by a long shot. Larson has already trashed two Galactica series. Do we really want this guy to do anything else with Battelstar Galactica? NOV 3: Shadowman: Ice Cube, rapper and actor will co-produce & star in the new fantasy film, SHADOWMAN. Cube will be in the lead role of Zero. The film will be produced by Takoma Entertainment. Shadowman is due to begin filming in January 2K. NOV 2: Keanu Reeves: Neo gets rich with $30M and 15% fo the pictures profit. Both Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss are set to return for the sequels. NOV 2: Matrix News: A schedule of 250 days has been set for filming the two movies back to back. Current plans are to release both sequels in the Summer. The first premiering at the beginning of the summer and the second near the end of the season. NOV 2: Hulk Feature Film: The one is apparently back on the fast-track development schedule. Screenwriter Micheal France is eyeing a spring start date. ILM has already done imaging of the Hulk running on a treadmill to show it can be done. 70's Hulk Lou Ferrigno will be in the film as a different character. NOV 1: Battlefield Earth: Travolta has been experiencing so difficulties with his two foot leg extentions and recently took a fall. He was not hurt reported a Warner Brothers Spokesman. Travolta is reported to have bust out laughing after the fall. NOV 1: Mission To Mars: Disney has finished principal casting signing NYPD Blue's Kim Delaney & ex Slider Jerry O'Connell. They had already signed Gary Sinise, Tim Robbins, and Don Cheadle. Brian DePalma will direct. NOV 1: Mars Make-up: Mission to Mars will be filming in Vancouver, where else. A 55 acre lot has been sculpted to duplicate the surface of mars. The soil has been painted to match Mars rusty colored surface. The red sky will be added later using computer technology. NOV 1: Paramount Sued: David Gerrold is suing Paramount to find out where his percentage of the tribble merchandising money is. He was suppose to receive 5% of the merchandising rights. But so far Mr. Gerrold has got nothing.
