Begins shooting in November in New Zealand. it will team up with Cleopatra 2525 to fill the void left where Hercules has departed. OCT 31: UPN Out?: With Viacom set to own CBS and UPN industry, analysts predict UPN may shortly cease to exist. Seven Days, the Strip and Voyager may be done as well. OCT 31: Voyager Toast: With UPN possibly on it way out Voyager may be cancelled mid-way this season or at the conclusion of the current season. There is a possibility of transition to CBS. But that is unlikely. OCT 31: Braga Leaving: Voyagers producer Brannon Braga may be leaving mid-season or at the end of this season to begin work on the new Star Trek season. When it pours, it rains. OCT 30: Battlefield Earth: Still on schedule for a summer 2K release. Reportedly the main characters have sequel clauses in their contracts. It will take two movies to complete the long story arc. Still geared to be a blockbuster hit next year. OCT 30: Disney goes DVD: I was wrong, the new DVD releases by Disney will be in their Theatrical formats, but it is unknown as to whether or not they will be anamorphic. AND... each video will only be available to purchase for 60 days.. SRP will be $29.95 to $34.95. Pinochio will be first on DVD as it was on VHS. Others will follow. The first is due out today. OCT 29: The MUMMY 2: Sommer has completed a deal with Universal which will hopefully have the sequel in theatres for the summer of 2001.
