Edward Pressman dropped the ball getting this series back on the air. He was more interested in producing dramatically challenged Crow feature film rather than continue the dramatic situation the Crow had attained as a syndicated television series.

In 1998 The Crow moved from the big screen to the small screen in excellent fashion. The Crow: Stairway to Heaven premiered when syndicated genre television was at it's prime. Today the once syndicated time-slots are dominated by repeats of sitcoms and genre series like Buffy, the X-Files and Stargate SG-1.
The fist season was renewed but Universal wanted to head in another direction and would not commit to a second season.

The series comes to a close with just 22 episodes.

     Mark Dacasco also starred Japanese live action adaptation of "Crying Freeman" Dacascos portrays an assassin who crys for his victims. It was an excellent film once available on on laserdisc.
