During
a peace conference at an agreed meeting place the Cylons, with the help of a
human named Baltar, attack the twelve colonies in an attempt to wipe the
human race from the face of the galaxy. Those who survived fled out into
space in whatever space vessels they could find. One battlestar did survive,
the Battlestar Galactica. It leads a rag tag fugitive fleet on a lonely
quest that seeks the galaxy on a lost world. The quest for the 13th colony. A planet known as... Earth.

Battlestar
Galactica
Premiered in 1978 with a rare 148 minute, w/no commercials, pilot movie.
Which was later cut down to120 minutes when put with the series.
John Dykstra, was the
special effects master of this series. The only bright spot of this poorly written
series. There were a few good episodes though. He did the special effects for Star Wars...
Despite high rating, ABC considered
it a dismal first
season when mixing the ratings, per cost of episode. It was
cancelled.
The series was revamped and it's budget slashed. It was called Galatica 1980. God
was it bad. Bad acting, Bad effects, and terrible stories.

end of 79' in NY, LA, Philadelphia, Washington, St. Louis, Memphis, Salt Lake City,
Atlanta, Denver, Indianapolis, Tampa, Nashville, Milwaukee, and Kansas City only.
These are rare cuts if you can find them.

EPISODE GUIDE
There are
24 42 minute episodes in all. The pilot counts as three episodes in
the series. Great effects and a wonderful cast couldn't save the
terrible writing on the show.
NOTE:
Dick Durok who was the physical person of the Imperious Leader, and was
also Swamp Thing.
