     Dr. Miles Hawkins was paralyzed in a shooting and lost the use of his legs. Confined to wheelchair for the rest of his life Miles Hawkins is taking crime to task... for himself, and everyone else.
     Using his companies vast assets the mild mannered doctor has created a new crime fighter. A creature of the night called... M.A.N.T.I.S.

      The FOX series aired in August of 1994. Only 22 of the 24 episodes were actually aired on FOX. (the pilot as 2 eps)

     Mantis was produced by Director Sam Raimi. (Army of Darkness)

     Some of the later episodes verged on the extremely weird ideas. I believe the show was doomed before this though. 

     The series pilot was very different from the weekly series. At least this series got a 24 episode run, unlike others. However, Mantis never developed a fan following. It has pretty much zero net presence... until now.  I enjoyed the show.
