This is the final DVD
Boxed for Hercules, the Legendary Journey's. Kevin Sorbo's final 8
episodes as he takes Hercules through his final motions of kicking
the gods asses and saving damsels in distress.
I was disappointed
when Xena & Hercules came to a close. The pair made for an
interested Saturday afternoon in front of the television. The final
seasons of Hercules and Xena were far their best, but not as bad as
the work done by Adrian Paul in the final Highlander season.
Season 6 finds
Hercules facing the likes of bloodthirsty vampires, some wacked out
Amazons, and a pissed off Queen. The series finale was quite
touching and a decent send off for our half-god hero.
The entire run of
Hercules, the Legendary Journey's will keep fans entertained for
days on end. The show is loaded with silly humor, some excellent
acting and action coming out of your ears. It's a DVD series you
can't go wrong with. If offers something for everyone.
PACKAGING
Anchor Bay has stuck with the same format for their entire run of
Xena & Hercules. The fold out case is stuff with some great
images, episode listings and some text information as well. The fold
out slides snuggly into a cardboard designer sleeve.
VIDEO:
The video transfer is excellent. The blemishes are minimal and the
colors are vibrant. The quality is equal to the other boxed
sets.
AUDIO:
The audio is remastered to Dolby
Digital 5.1. which seems to be useless on most of the boxed sets.
Television audio just never really puts the Dolby Digital to
work. The voices through the center channel sound good and
there are is an decent mix from the rear and front
speakers. Hercules never sounded this good in best moments on
television.
BONUS FEATURES:
Anchor Bay knows what the Bonus Feature area is for, and they never
hesitate to stuff the boxed sets with it.

SUMMARY:
Anchor Bay has presented fans with one awesome DVD franchise in
seasonal boxed sets. This is a great series for the shelf of any DVD
mogul. Action, comedy, babes, hunks, acting and even some drama
await the viewer worthy enough to purchase this series.
