You had to know that just releasing the entire series on DVD was not enough. Rober Tapert and Anchor Bay have come up with a tenth anniversary boxed set featuring 16 of the fans most cherished episodes. 

What's to say about Xena. It was an action packed series born of the days on Hercules, the Legendary Journey's. It continued with the humor, action, some drama and surprisingly good acting. 

Fans will enjoy having the boxed set if it contains several of their favorites. 

PACKAGING 
The packaging feels a bit bland at first glance. They went for the book texture on the cover rather than typical boxed set look. The embossed cardboard sleeving is very nice. All the images on the fold out are beautiful black and white.The overall appearance of the boxed set is awesome. 

VIDEO: 
Video quality is excellent just like the previous boxed sets. Anchor Bay goes all out. The blacks are dark and the colors are vibrant and sharp. 

AUDIO: 
The digital 5.0 sounds very good. But... it doesn't really work those backdoor speakers. There are some things here and three that come through the speakers but most of the work happens through the front and center channel speakers.

SUMMARY: 
Damn! Another impressive boxed set from Anchor Bay. This is an awesome addition to the franchise. Fans that agree on favorites will lover this set. The fan favorite boxed set. If you can't get all the boxed sets this might be the set to start with. Xena at her best. 

The price is steep at $60, but if you shop around you'll find it cheaper.
