Here are some quick connection directions on how to hook up
your two units for dubbing videos. I have received several emails on how to
do the deed. So... here it is.

OK, The Player unit should
always be your best quality player of the two. The other unit will be the recorder.
You want your best signal going out to the recorder. If it's a nasty signal
it doesn't really matter how good the recorder is... does it.
Connections: use example above for connection reference.
RCA Jacks...
*From the player connect the audio out (red arrow) to Recorder units audio in.
*From the Player connect the video out (blue arrow) to the Recorder units video in.
Coax Cables...
*From the Player connect the Coax Out (purple arrow) to Recorder units
Coax In.
*From your external source (cable connection or satellite output)
connect it to the Players Coax In
(green arrow) connection.
*From the Player unit connect the Recorder units Coax Out (brown arrow) to the television
coax connection. Generally there is only one Coax connection on the TV.
There may be outputs there for connecting to a receiver unit or another
recording device.
Now, make sure your VCR's are set in the back to the same
channel, 3 or 4. You will have to make sure that the television will be on the same
channel when using the set-up. Do some test recording to see how things work. Your
Recording VCR may need to be set-up for the line-in mode. Generally, you can use the
remote and channel down to channel two. Continue pressing the down channel
and the unit will/should go into the line-in mode. Now you will be watching on the
television what is running through the Player VCR.
NOTE: Do some test
recording to figure out which VCR is your best recorder, and which is your
best player. If the best of both is the same unit, make it the player unit
and the other, the recorder. Your recording is going to be based on your best
signal, that's the player.
You are now set-up for some serious dubbing folks. Enjoy...
