SEASON I  1987

1.   ONCE UPON A TIME 

The world of New York socialite attorney Catherine Chandler is turned upside down when, following a brutal attack. She is rescued by Vincent; a mysterious man/beast who dwells beneath the subways of Manhattan.

2.   TERRIBLE SAVIOR 

Catherine investigates the case of a "man/beast" who is fatally slashing subway criminals, and must fact the terrible possibility that Vincent is the killer.

3.   SEIGE 

Vincent and Catherine expose the scheme of an unscrupulous land developer to drive elderly tenants from their rent-controlled building to make way for a re-development project.

4.   NO WAY DOWN 

Vincent is captured by a vicious street gang while protecting Catherine in the world Above.  Jeffrey Combs (re-animator) appears in this episode.

5.   MASQUES 

A Halloween masquerade ball provides the perfect setting for political intrigue when Catherine and Vincent come to the aid of Irish peace activist Briget O'Donnell.

6.   THE BEAST WITHIN 

Catherine's life is endangered when she investigates the mob-related death of a New York longshoreman.

7.   NOR IRON BARS A CAGE 

When Vincent is captured and caged by a Columbia University scientist who has spied him in Central Park, Catherine must abandon her plan to relocate to Providence, and save him from the selfish and cruel plans of the scientist's greedy colleague.

8.   SONG OF ORPHEUS 

Father receives a summons to return to the world Above and face his former life there, leaving Vincent and Catherine to unravel the mystery of his past in order to save him.

9.   DARK SPIRIT 

Catherine's investigation of a wealthy businessman's bizarre death leads her into the world of voodoo and mortal danger.

10.   A CHILDREN'S STORY 

Vincent and Kipper, a boy from Below, enlist Catherine's help in exposing the corrupt organization behind a "model" children's foster home.

When a deaf girl from the world Below is the only witness to a cop's murder, she must give up the protected life she enjoys in order to convict the true killer.

Catherine's boss, Joe Maxwell, is seduced by a beautiful attorney before realizing that their affair poses a serious conflict of interest.

16.   PROMISES OF SOMEDAY 

Vincent recalls some painful experiences he had as a ten-year old boy when his long-lost "brother" Devin, posing as a new attorney in Catherine's office, returns to the city to visit the world Below.

17.   DOWN TO A SUNLESS SEA 

When Catherine's former law school beau reappears to try and win her back, she fails to heed Vincent's warnings about the danger she is in.

18.   FEVER 

Vincent's world is endangered by greed and strife when Mouse discovers a sunken ship filled with gold and treasures buried beneath the city.

19.   EVERYTHING IS EVERYTHING 

Catherine and Vincent help an orphaned Gypsy boy clear his father's name and regain the love and trust of his grandparents.

20.   TO REIGN IN HELL 

When Catherine is kidnapped by a giant-warrior in the employ of the evil Paracelcus, Vincent, with his friends Winslow and Pascal, must prepare for a battle to the death.

21.   OZYMANDIAS 

When Elliott Burch, Catherine's former suitor, begins building a massive tower which threatens Vincent's world Below, Catherine agrees to marry him on the condition that he halt construction.

22.   A HAPPY LIFE 

Catherine and Vincent come to a crossroads in their relationship, where they are forced to question whether they can ever have happy lives if they stay together. 

SEASON II  1988

23.   CHAMBER MUSIC 

Vincent tries to help a teenage junkie whom he recognizes as a musical prodigy who disappeared from the world Below five years before. 

24.   REMEMBER LOVE 

When Vincent becomes insanely frustrated by the cloistered life he must lead hidden from Catherine's world, a guardian angel shows him what the world would be like if he did not exist. 

25.   ASHES, ASHES 

When Vincent and Catherine hide an escaped Russian seaman in the world Below, no one suspects that he is afflicted with a highly contagious and fatal disease. Adrian Paul (the Highlander) plays the Russian seaman that brings a plague into the underworld community.

26.   DEAD OF WINTER 

While the underground community prepares for their annual Winterfest celebration, the evil Paracelcus perfects an artful disguise that will allow him to attend the festivities to try and kill the assembled guests. 

27.   GOD BLESS THE CHILD 

Catherine and Vincent befriend a pregnant and extremely troubled young woman from the streets, and try to help her build a new life in the world Below. 

28.   STICKS AND STONES 

When Laura, a deaf girl who used to live Below, becomes a member of a deaf gang, her first serious love affair threatens to end in tragedy. 

29.   A FAIR AND PERFECT KNIGHT 

When Michael, a boy from the underground community, decides to attend a college Above, he must again face the pain he left there years ago as well as deal with the feelings that Catherine awakens in him. 

30.   LABYRINTHS 

A young neighbor of Catherine's who follows her Below, unwittingly jeopardizes the Tunnel World's existence. 

31.   BROTHERS 

When Father's adventurous son Devin brings Charles, a giant of a man hideously deformed by tumors, to live Below, the community must decide if they are willing to take responsibility for this fragile and tormented soul. 

32.   A GENTLE RAIN 

When Catherine is assigned to reopen a manslaughter case, she discovers it involves one of the Tunnel World's model citizens. 

33.   THE OUTSIDERS 

Vincent's community is threatened when a band of violent transients invades the world Below. 

34.   ORPHANS 

With the death of her father, Catherine considers abandoning her life Above and living in the Tunnel World forever. 

35.   ARABESQUE 

The return of a former tunnel dweller, now a famous ballerina, causes Vincent to remember the pain of his first love.

Catherine and Vincent become embroiled in mysterious events when they are pursued by a young artist believed to be dead.

Vincent almost loses Catherine forever when she is stalked by an anonymous watcher who terrorizes her from afar before swooping in for the kill.

When Catherine becomes embroiled in a case of tape piracy and murder, her investigation takes her to Los Angeles, thousands of miles away from her beloved Vincent.

Catherine fights to avenge the death of a five year old boy at the hands of his chronically abusive father, a prominent Wall Street celebrity. 

40.   A KINGDOM BY THE SEA 

Elliott Burch asks Catherine for help when he becomes the target of a dictator's death squad.

Catherine becomes the target of a pair of murderers she tries to bring to justice.

A tenacious investigative reporter manages to photograph Vincent in an act of violence and threatens to expose his identity.

Revelations of Vincent's birth force a deadly showdown between Vincent and the evil Paracelcus.

As Vincent loses the struggle to control the dark side of his nature, his presence in the Tunnel World threatens the lives of all he holds dear. 

SEASON III  1989

45 & 46  THOUGH LOVERS BE LOST  pt 1 & 2

Vincent races to save Catherine, who has been abducted by the powerful leader of a vast criminal empire. 

47.   WALK SLOWLY 

Joe Maxwell convinces maverick homicide detective Diana Bennett to investigate Catherine's death while Vincent and Catherine's circle of friends mourn her. 

48.   NEVERMORE 

Vincent turns to Elliott Burch for help in tracking down Catherine's killer and recovering their child. 

49.   SNOW 

Gabriel hires a professional assassin (his brother) to track down and kill Vincent. 

50.   BEGGAR'S COMET 

Gabriel promises to restore the wealth and power of a bankrupt and desperate Elliott Burch if he agrees to betray Vincent. 

51.   A TIME TO HEAL 

Diana Bennett's life is changed forever when she finds Vincent near death and nurses him back to health in her loft, while Father searches for the missing Vincent. 

52.   IN THE FORESTS OF THE NIGHT 

Vincent goes on a rampage to destroy the drug lab which has been supplying his friend Rolley with heroin, only to learn later that the lab is owned by his arch-enemy Gabriel. 

53.   THE CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT 

Vincent senses that his child is dying, while Gabriel's men capture Diana and force her to summon Vincent to the aid of his gravely ill son. 

54.   INVICTUS 

Following a final confrontation with Gabriel in which Diana comes to his aid, Vincent escapes with his infant son to the safety of the tunnels below New York. 

55.   THE RECKONING 

Diana Bennett and Joe Maxwell investigate two puzzling murders as Father rekindles and old romance and wrestles with the idea of returning permanently to the world above. 

56.   LEGACIES   

Diana Bennett discovers the mysterious serial murders she's investigating are connected to the accidental death of a man in the tunnels years before.
